All of the dash gauges and warning lights get power from the same pink/black wire. You should have a pink or purple wire coming from the sending unit in the tank that provides ground to the gauge.

Check Fuel Pump and fuel filter. Filter appears to be clogged and not allowing a free flow of fuel.

Usually, there is a way to adjust the position of the choke. I've seen two ways: 1) The electric assist might be able to be rotated or re-positioned by loosening its screws. 2) The choke positioning lever can be bent or extended by straightening it with pliers to fully close the choke plate.
