For instance, P0107 means "Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input". This indicates that the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor is providing a signal not in agreement with what other sensors are 'telling' the ECM. The MAP sensor is like a vacuum gauge - it is located somewhere in the intake manifold or intake plenum and reports how 'hard' the engine is working to the ECM. These codes indicate there is a problem with the MAP sensor itself or with the wiring between the sensor and the ECM. Double check all the connectors that you disconnected when replacing the valve cover gaskets. As this problem only showed up after you did this work, it's probably a loose connection or pinched wire.

It could be a wiring problem.

Is it possible you are hearing a wheel bearing instead of the engine or exhaust ?Normally a bearing will roar on a turn and not on a straight stretch, but I guess its possible to do it the other way. A tire will make a roaring noise too.I can't think of anything related to the engine that would roar only on a turn except maybe the power steering.
