Kia carnival 1999 v 6 over heating already replaced radiator cap, water pump.thermostat
check radiator is not blocked, check air can pass through radiator (fins not blocked with debris) check that there is no airlock in system. is header tank being pressurised when engine running ( remove cap and start engine, look for bubbles in header tank). If bubbles then you need to check head gasket or even crack in head or cylinder walls. Presume you fitted the thermostat in the right way round. if you have boiled the engine since fitting the thermostat you will probably need to remove it (maybe see if it boils without it fitted) and possibly replace it again. (drop in hot water and see if it opens, if it doesn't then replace it)
Kia carnival misfire
could be plugs, leads or even leads on the wrong plugs. try swopping a lead from a good cylinder and see if it fires then if it does, purchase a new set of leads. swop over leads on 3 and 4. a new set of plugs always helps. check for shorts (start engine when dark and look for any sparks from leads that you cant see in daylight). If none of this helps then check compression on cylinders 3 and 4, if low pressure check valve clearance, if valve clearance ok then it could be burnt valves or head gasket problem. Are you losing water? is water oily? Check the easy stuff first
