p1492 - Ambient or battery temperature sensor voltage wrong. There is a battery temp sensor in the bottom of the battery tray. The battery has to be removed in order to get to it. With the battery out of the way, the circular disk shaped sensor can be seen. You should be able to pull it up vertically with the connector and some of the wiring harness coming with it through the hole in the tray. If you are lucky, you won't have to remove the battery tray to get to the sensor wiring connector. Separate the sensor from the connector. The sensor is a thermistor, a resistor whose resistance varies fairly significantly temperature. Take the sensor to a location where the temperature is 75 - 80* and measure the resistance. A good sensor will have a resistance of 9,000 - 11,000 ohms. If the resistance is not correct, replace the sensor. Because of the code and MIL, you probably should replace it anyway. An extra check before replacing it would be to check the voltage applied to the sensor. Connect a voltmeter across the terminals of the harness connector and turn the ignition key to the ON position. The voltage should be about 5 V. If that's not correct, then there is a problem in the connector or, worse still, the PCM

2003 KJ,. clear are you asking for a schematic.? its in the FSM, under. KJ called the ACM chapter 8w-43 there are 3 module, i presume main.

wow no year car, now that is a tuff nut to crack.. huh? 2007 is first year, and is Diesel,,, CRD. our GAS version, not sure CRD. first off most these cars are Throttle by wire (system) and have 4 pots, 2 pedal pots, and 2 throttle body pots if any do not agree, it goes to limphome. mode,(lost power) pots means (potentiometers, or variable resistors, that have 3 pins) when worn they are bad and the PCM goes funky. it's covered in the FSM book Oem Factory service manual, read that it covers all tests for TPS to extreme details. or login to alldata.com like everyone does. (best of best, IMO) to diagnose it the tech needs the full set of DTC errors you never posted. so........ no answers possible lacking that set of facts.

You may be low on coolant, or your thermostat may be stuck open.

Should be on front nearest to radiator. If u cant find then go to autozone they will show you
