1Check the fuse. A blown fuse usually causes both lights to go out. On newer cars, the tail lamps can be fused separately and/or each bulb or shared circuit can be fused. A fuse can be blown due to other problems, so you'll need to check more than just the fuse, but it's the right place to start. Look in your owner's manual to determine where the fuse box is located in your car. 2Look at the tail lamp wiring. These are the wires that lead to the tail lights, located inside the lid of the trunk. Open the trunk and take a look. You can see where the wires should connect in order for the electrical system to properly work. If a wire has come loose, reattach it. 3Check the taillight bulbs. If the fuse and wiring look right, the bulbs themselves might be the problem. To check them, unscrew the taillight lenses from the outside using a screwdriver. 4Check the taillight lenses. Whether or not you were able to fix the problem of your tail lights working correctly by examining the fuse, wiring and light bulb, it's important to check the lenses as well to make sure they're not cracked or broken.

It should be labeled Inst. Clst. or something like that on the lid.

You mean by using the VIN number ?

You may be low on coolant, or your thermostat may be stuck open.

There is a common problem with the rear speed sensor wiring on these. The rear speed sensor is located on the top of the rear differential. cruise controls are controlled by several units VSS or road speed sensor, clutch and brake sensors , engine speed (tacho) and the on/off switch cruise controls will disengage automatically if the road speed is too slow ( higher for manuals than autos ) so if the road speed is below around 20mph it may not engage at all as the VSS says it is too slow for the engine rpms check all sensors for adjustment

Speed sensor either refers to the ABS system in the brakes or the sensor that connects to the transmission. Assuming you are talking about the transmission I will focus on that. Depending on the year of you car depends on how far it got away from mechanical/analog controls and evolved into digital/computerized controls. This did not happen over night & some older tech is still used. So what does this have to do with your question? Plenty. Older controls worked on vacuum advances, bimetal expansion, mini cams and heat activated devices to trim the power curve & idle of your engine. Now it's sensors, sensors and more sensors fed into a computer looking for values that correlate to built in data base to define which controls do what. All of this effects how much fuel your sparkplugs have to work with and how early or late the spark fires on this fuel to give you more or less power. Thus, if these sensors become worn, slow or defective your car will not work well.

no year? 2002? no statement as to what it does. just dead? (weak, or 2nd horn dead. some have 2) is the ground rusty at base of horn,< clean that. hot horn yet to test it? check the horn fuse first then the relay 2nd last: do not mess with steering wheel until air bags are defeated or boom broken neck....

If you can feel it in the steering wheel than I would take a close look at the drive axles. Not as common as some of the other problems that can cause vibrations but definitely overlooked as a possible culprit. Could be a work wheel bearing.

what lights? name them>? what year caar. the word is CRANK does the engine crank fast? no cranks. (if it cant crank it cant start, unless like my M/T pushed or gravity started) 1: check fuses first. 2: jumper cable crank it. that work>? if not say so. yes, then your battery was dead for 3 reasons. ask. no, then the starter need to be hot wired and tested. for bad key line. will it crank in A/T neutral , not using PARK as the operators guide shows?

no, see other post. you are not posting symptoms clear, nor complete. try this here is one.example i turn the key and the SKIM immoblizer lamp goes out? if not stop, it will never ever run. i then turn the key to crank the engine spins fast and runs for 2 or 3 seconds, and stalls. like that. or edit it to yours. we need the full story as we can not start or run your car. you must say what it does in details. we are blind here. and deaf..
