THE BETTER question is HOW do they work?? IT'S NO 1993.
they are park lamps, tails is old skool name, ok no prob.
parks are front /rear and sides
so all parks dead. be key fact, even the dash dimmer uses the parks (first click of the HL switch is PARKING LAMPS)
I might add that we have answered this maybe 3 times here.
already. ill do it one more time.
in the same book chapter 8w covers this, called exterior lighting or lamps.
it is digital controlled.
the TIPM underhood does this.
the TIPM hears the network commands for parks.
and closes its PARK relay
this relay then runs all park line feeds. front and rear
the license plate is a park lamp. too.
the 3 fuse are 8,9,10 in the TIPM under hood. clearly marked park.
if you look there the lids has all then names , marked.
that does rear.
8w-51-4 covers rear.
same fuse 8 left 10 right.
if 10 blows the cab switch bank goes dead for illumination.
but you never said how many are dead.
if all are dead and the relay is ok
the programming is bad or
you forgot to see DTC errors scanned.
if all lamps are dead, it must be scanned, or replace relay
