Hello! There are two Throttle Position Sensors located on the throttle body...One or both are defective...Perform the following test procedure to eliminate...
Wire colors are...White, Black, Red, and Green...Using a volt meter set on the 5 volt or 10 volt scale...With the engine at idle...Locate the TPS sensors..they are mounted to the throttle body...You can identify the sensors by there wire colors...Do not disconnect the plugs on the sensors...Place the negative meter probe on the Black wire and the positive probe on the white lead...At idle you should read less than 1 volt...Slowly increase the rpm's...Don't listen to the engine, watch the meter...As rpm's increase the voltage will rise SMOOTHLY to 4 volts...If the meter skips, or jumps that TPS is defective...
Repeat the test with the positive probe on the Red lead and the negative probe on the Red wire and the negative probe on the Green wire...
again watch for a smooth rise in voltage from less than 1 volt to 4 volts as engine rpm's are increased....
