Ihave a stability control light which will not go off on my 2009 transit
By
jerking the vehicle around... you can exceed the logic's ability to figure out which way to "AUGMENT" suspension & braking...
to keep your vehicle from following it's natural (top-heavy) tendency to
ROLL-OVER.
Once those "logic" parameters has been EXCEEDED... the
STABILITY CONTROL simply SHUTS-DOWN and lights that light to alert the DRVER.
Consult your driver's guide (owners manual)... to familiarize yourself with your FINGER-TIP controls.
Push the RIGHT BUTTON and that light will go off...
UNTIL then... drive a lot slower... and more carefully...
Without your
STABILITY (roll)
CONTROL is it quite easy to put all your wheels
WRONG SIDE UP.

Can relay switches in vehicles be tested
yes --- there will be 4 or 5 pins at the bottom of the relay
thee is normally a diagram of the relay on the case to show which pins do what
apply power to one pin and run a earth ( ground wire to an opposite pin if you hear a click then that is the points closing the two other pins will be to allow power across the points and out to what ever it is a relay for
so using wires with appropriate terminals run a wire from the battery to one terminal and the other to earth the relay should click
now using another wire attach it to the battery and on the opposite terminal run a wire to a light to earth now by making the relay click the light should work

Flat spot between 1800-2000rpm ford transit connect 2009
Could be the TPS. Especially if you have cruise control, use it a lot and tend to stay at the same speed all the time. If you do the TPS contact strip will be worn down at the point where you always set it at (i.e. say 70Mph) the metal contact at that point gets worn away since it sits on the same spot all the time. The rest of it is fine, but that spot is bad, when you hit it the power is temp lost, then returns once it goes past that part. Moral of the story. Don't always cruise at the same speed, your TPS will thank you!
