2008 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Questions & Answers
Why is there water around the spark plugs?
There's either a big loss of coolant from somewhere such as a hose or cylinder head.
It could also be a faulty cylinder head gasket/cylinder head.
Does the car overheat? Overheating is a symptom of head problems as is loss of power.
Check the coolant level - has it dropped?
Start the engine and see if any air bubbles appear in the coolant. If so, it probably is caused by exhaust gas leaking through the head/head gasket into the cooling system.
Check your engine oil dipstick. If the oil is a greyish/creamy colour that indicates coolant has found its way into the oil system. Cylinder head problem ..
Get somebody to check your car for you. Don't drive it if there's suspected head problems - you'll cause more damage
Must sealent be used when replacing valve cover gasket
No do not use any sealant.
The best assurance of no leaks is clean surfaces and the correct even torque on the cover bolts. If the surfaces aren't clean, you will be chasing leaks in the future. Make sure you check the torque setting and use a torque wrench. Uneven or excessive torque may distort the cover and result in leaks.
If you need something to keep the gasket in place while you are fitting then use a thin smear of grease on the metal surface under the gasket.

You can check those fuses at the top, they go hot with key on. At the wiper motor, you can see hi and lo speeds and the wire colors, that's voltage. That solid black wire is ground. You might be able to take wire connector loose from motor, use jumper wires off the battery for voltage and ground to motor to see if it will run? You might should use an inline fuse, just in case. Do testing before you replace anything. Also, the are trouble codes for wipers, manufacturer specific codes.
