2005 Ford Falcon Fairmont - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Why would my fuze box be making a humming, buzzing noise?
2000 Falcon in Australia. sure. I am in USA , no cars like it here.
but all cars 2000 are KINDA the same, if Petrol fuel.
not told what all fails or does not fail, just the word buzz told
head lamps work ? bright, not dim, key on or off and driving?
car starts and runs and drives (the purpose of it)
all electrics work of some fail no told.
buzzing means mostly power failure.
is key off or on , buzzing
is engine running.
when any car main battery goes week , all computers in the car go mad(crazy) at 10vdc ( 12.6vdc is normal)
as the battery dies, the too low voltage caused the digital electronics to fail (not bad) they go partly off line 1 chip after the other)
and things buzz in fact may controllers self reboot endlessly as the power goes to this ******* stated. (out of spec)
if really curious learn to find out exactly what buzzes
fuses do no buzz but relays do , as the computers that run them fail at too low battery or the RELAY it self is bad.
some cars here have, 50+ fuses and 10 computer,
lots of things to fail is the word.
Need Odometer repaired for EA falcon 1988
Vdo gauges made the instrument cluster for Ford during the time the ea was current on the scene. The gears , plastic ones in the back of the speedometer would often break resulting in a instrument cluster fault . Not electrical but a plastic gear that failed in the back of the cluster. Been along time since I ve done one but even in a legit mechanical work shop we had to send the whole cluster to vdo for repairs . They all have the same problem if they still are going ..... 0ne year old the taxis started doin it first . I guess another question I would have to ask , man / auto (id bet on that, fair odds) . However there also is a speedo drive in the gear box , plugs in to a harness under vehicle , check nylon gear , put dielectric grease in the electrical connector . Route away from exhaust heat ...
