have a smoke test done you have a small evap leak can be anywhere in the fuel connections but a smoke test will help find it as long as he's a good mechanic

This isn't a "FIX" comment...but have you checked the fuse yet?

its probabley the sender unit in the fuel tank stuck if you know where the fuel tank is and the sender unit give it a bit tape with your hand and try to release it if it still doesent move will probably need replacing but modern day tanks are all plastic so should be able to remove easily hope this helps ivan

no country told this is a world wide forum, and cars are not the same world wide at all, vast differences. (by laws too) quesiton #2 is this car fitted out with DRL, daylite running lamps>?????????? well fuses are first. check them first we do. then scan the PCM using scan tool (obd2 ,2008 or newer tools)\ USA answer? the PCM will tell you why, the owners guide ,in glove box see chapter fuses/ see head lamps? HL :? fuses,??? OOPS NO FUSES !!! focus , not focus Electric or Focus RS car,. right. the BCM runs the lamps and has no fuse for any pair of lamps it uses electronic regulators to NOT need fuses. 2018 auto lamps. the left and right bcm lamp drivers are not he same driver. so only one side fails. see? F74 fuse blow kills them all up front. 10 lamps dead. so is not this. here is my guess, manual lamps fail low beams. both lamps are bad. or wires cut or shored to them. but no wire can do that, there are redundant wired sides, so both can;t fail by DESIGN \even 2 grounds, left and right not the same. so learn the scan this car every time if fails fore sure now. or test the lamps 1 by1 , unplug them and see if low beams read 0 ohms if not the element it burned out. on both. scan it and see , left right dead lamps low/??????????

well the tranny service manual covers that but first we need the real transmission name and is it 4wd? well TCC is always 3 place. the outside controller (PCM/TCM) and wire there to . the transmission TCC solenoid.(inside) so I will now answer for the tranny guts. the TC clutch can be bad too, or the piston that drives it. or solenoid (dc volt coil to fluid valve solenoid) Ford box CD4E The Torque Converter Clutch solenoid is part of the solenoid valve body assembly. The solenoid valve body assembly is 142 (labeled Body assembly - transmission control solenoid (TCS)) on the Disassembled View on your Service DVD.(or manual) buy the manual or read this. (keep in mind it can just be a TC clutch bad and no the ACTUAL TRANNY AT ALL, OR TCM IS IN LIMPMODE, NO DTC ERRORS POSTED WHY NOT? $16 BUCKS TOO MUCH https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=ford+cd4e++ATSG&_sacat=0&_sop=15 ALL YOu can do is (tell all DTCs thrown) and test for voltage on the tranny connector for TCC lock. and if is good you can put in ID 141 part. if fails install a new clutch.(main TC) 141 is the solenoid set, (all in one)
