After changing the front brake
if you feel grinding then you have not properly installed the pads
the abs sensor is in the same area so maybe you damaged or partially loosened the sensor
2009 Ford Escape rear differential not engaging.
This sounds like 2 problems the first is the drive shaft is spinning with the rear wheels off the ground and no matter on or off the ground the rears don't spin yes/no? If so rear axle carrier is blown the gears are shot second the front wheels off the ground spin but on the ground nothing they stop the transfer case chain is slipping please post back because it's a little confusing and be specific about which drive shaft at what time your trying to tell us so describe one side at a time

You talking rear differential? I would check the fluid level. There should be a plug where you can check fluid and add if needed. If you take the plug out and fluid tries to run out, put the plug back in, the fluid level is ok. In the old days, I'd stick the tip of my index finger and bend, If I could touch the fluid, I considered the level to be ok. I believe the spec I saw said about 3/16 below edge of hole was ok.
The power window button on
If your careful you can take that button apart but it is more than likely to worn to do any thing with it you would save yourself a big headache by just going and buying a new one or go to a junk yard and take one off a vehicle there
