Remove the plastic steering column shroud under the ignition cylinder housing on the column you will see a metal button sticking out you push it in after turning the key if no key drill out the button then the cylinder will turn if this is a pats key the new keys must be programmed into the system unless you have the chip and are using a regular cylinder just hold the chip next to the receiver and the blinking light will stop then start the car

For a few years there were recalls on some rear hinges for the hatches. Run the Vin# to see if anything is listed.

Usually there are adjustments on hinge mounts and on the latch mechanism. New rubber moulding would help if the current moulding is torn or compressed.

If you have a sunroof, it may have a drain which is plugged or disconnected at some point and allows water to enter and dump rearward.

In a worst case scenario, the vehicle may have been hit and the opening is not straight enough to seal.

This problem sounds like a body shop or glass shop problem.

Get the entire front suspension checked by a good mechanic. This sounds like a steering, steering rack or ball joint issue. Popping and locking damage can occur after a hard knock to the suspension or wheels. Something like hitting a high kerb, hard.

on my 2010 ford escape XLT i found the keyless entry code printed on a label on the smart junction box which is inside the center console. To get to the smart junction box follow these instructions.
1. with a non-marring tool(i used a putty knike wrapped in plastic wrap), pry up the chrome trim piece around the shifter.
2. Remove the storage tray from underneath the center console armrest and leave the armrest cover open.
3. Grab the center console finish panel near the cupholders and pull straight up.
4. Pull the finish panel up and back then set it aside.
5. The smart junction box is to the right and slightly ahead of the gear shifter. There should be a label with a bar code that says FoMoCo. In the corner of this label is a 5 digit number. This is the factory code.
Hope this helps.

There is a tiny switch inside the door called the "Door Ajar" sensor, remove the door panel and replace that switch, it is attached to the door latch, it just twists out and back in.

What you would do is a Web search using the Year, make, and model of your car and then "fuse box illustrations" as words included with the car description.

There will be many choices. Some can be youtube videos. Some may be mixed with other vehicles. Another place is the autozone.com help site. There is a free and a pay section. The answers are there but it is not user friendly

honeymokey is correct. Take to mechanic to have pressure checked, unless you know how to fill it yourself. (Not that more freon is necessarily the answer).

There are _many_ reasons it can light up. The biggest financial mistake people make with cars is not finding out why it lit up. It could be something cheap to fix that will save you from blowing up your car... Or it could be something so expensive that you decide to sell the car _before_ it blows up and becomes worthless. Take it to a mechanic to tell you what is wrong. It is _worth_ the cost of finding out why it lit up.
