Check for intake manifold vacuum leaks. Spray around the intake with a can of carburetor spray and if you hit on a leak the engine idle will change.

Put some good goggles (that completely cover your eyes) on and use a long nose compressed air gun.....using about 80 psi or so of air and see if you can't blow the stuff out of there.

You have to remove the fan shroud and fan at the same time. Then remove the radiator and condenser at the same time. Usually 4 bolts for the shroud. The fan mounts the the water pump. You need the tool to remove it(parts store has it). A couple of brackets hold the radiator in place. Remove the hoses and lines going to the radiator and condenser, then lift them out. unbolt the condenser and reinstall everything.

misfires are also from faulty injectors and low fuel pressures. from what you state I would be looking at those areas for the problem.

1st.. check fuse for clutch solenoid/relay. 2nd... replace clutch solenoid/relay. 3rd... check for damaged wiring to trransmission or connector to transmission. If all these are correct, see your Ford Dealer.

Your starter may have a 'flat' spot or dirt on the armator (the part that spins when you turn the key). When the towing co tows the vehicle, it slightly moves the armator enough to get it past the bad spot. Autozone will test your starter free if you take it in to them.
