Check for corrosion in that circuit , ground , connectors etc. find a wiring diagram ! an a component location diagram . An do a voltage drop test on the circuit . Lets see if I can explain this , if you get a volt meter an check voltage at the head light connector , the R/L wire is B+ for low beams , with the headlamps on you should see B+ , if not , your problem is in the power side of the circuit . Now check the Black wire at the headlamp connector . I should tell you put the negative lead of the volt meter on the negative battery post an the red positive lead at the black wire . You should see no more then 0.2 millivolts ,if you see around 5 - 6 volts you have a bad ground - corrosion ! an this will cause a dim light .

First does it crank, if it does then check to see if the fuel injectors are getting fuel.....could be a fuel pump... second....if there is nothing when you turn the key and the battery is good and the starter was replaced...it could be a bad ground.....thats the ground coming off your battery and goes to your chassis of the car.........let me know how you make out.

If engine revs ok in N then the torque convertr or trans has issues. Automatics are very complex and cud b diff things at that age...chec fluid level and cond first. A pressuretest and drive by an xperiencd mech may b needed. If its the engine..an ignition tuneup or throttl area needs attention

2004 ?? then timing belt should be good for at least 100,000 miles

Check the fluid. also check the linkage to the shifter. it might not be in the right position.

Diagnosing poor gas mileage is very hard to do without the aid of a computer, but a couple of things you can check without one.

Make sure your air filter is clean; check your spark plugs to see if they are wet (fuel) or have fouled out with oil; naturally a full tune up would be of help and a lube couldn't hurt either.

Also check your tire pressure.

No... timing is off and as the car accelerates the timing is being thrown off...Sounds like a redo to me.

All of these lights can indicate different problems. The battery light normally indicates the battery is NOT being charged. This could be a bad alternator, bad battery or wire connections between the two. Look at the battery connections first. The may be corroded, if so clean them and coat them with grease. Always disconnect the MINUS connection first. The break light indicates something wrong with the breaking system. Could be as simple as low break fluid, especially if the light comes on when you stop or in a turn. Beyond that there could be numerous more complicated and serious problems that should be looked at by a competent mechanic. The same with the service engine light. The engine needs to have the systems checked to see what is causing the light to be on. This light likely indicates the cause of the poor performance and the lack of power. That is also the likely cause of the engine trouble when you the try to run the AC or heat. No way to know the cost without knowing the exact problem(s). Take the car to a mechanic you trust and have all these systems checked. There are good reasons for these lights to be on your dash and they should not be ignored. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa. Have the engine computer scanned for trouble codes. Misfires are from loss of fuel, spark, or compression. Check the fuel pressure, check that all spark plugs are getting spark, and if all good so far, test engine compression. Low compression in a cylinder will cause misfires and loss of power. It could also be a vacuum leak- a loose or cracked vacuum hose or an intake gasket leak.

Whenever tires wear on one side of the tread it means the car is out of alignment. Maybe the problem can be solved with an adjustment or possibly frame work has to be done.

Most new cars come with ceramic disc brake pads to reduce noise. Aftermarket brake pads, depending upon materials in them, can be prone to squealing. Some pads come with adhesive shims that are designed to absorb vibration and reduce or stop squeal. There is also a compound you can but to put on the back of the pads to do the same thing when you install. Sometimes the noise will go away once the pads have had a chance to settle in .Some are just ornery and won't shut up.

First and foremost, smell the fluid, if the fluid is burnt smelling so is the transmission, you need a new one. If the fluid is lightly varnished smell, the code is for the solenoid pack. Replace this part it has the electronic pieces which are causing the code. I would smell the fluid and have a reputably shop scan the system before you replaced any parts. Good Luck

The Oil filter "housing" is not only that, it has a small oil cooler that uses the radiator coolant circuit to reduce the oil temps. It is easy to change, but not as easy to get as it is not a commonly sold ?tem. Is goes to the engine block with a stub threaded nipple and large nuts. Amclaussen.
