Bad connection to its power socket probably or an intermittent backlight.

The battery could be needing to be replaced also and the battery could be bad too.

There should be power o the small terminal of the stater anytime the key is in the crank position. I would start with checking that. If there is no power you will need to trace that circuit back. That wire gets power from the starter relay and the relay gets power from fuse 20 in the TIPM (underhood fuse box). The starter relay control side starts at the ignition switch. The pink with dark green wire should have power with the key in the crank position. That power goes to fuse #10 in the TIPM. it then goes to the starter relay. the starter relay is grounded by the PCM. Give that a whirl. TEST THE VOLTAGE TO THE BATTERY AT IDLE. WITH ENGINE RUNNING APPLY A VOLTMETER TO THE BATTERY POSTS. YOU SHOULD GET AT LEAST 13VOLTS 13.6 IS USUAL. IS THE BELT ON THE ALTERNATOR SNUG. IS THE RED LEAD FROM THE BACK OF THE ALTERNATOR GOING TO THE BATTERY POSITIVE POST?

You will need to reset the computer, find reset button or disconnect battery and cycle through the start and shift process, then leave disconnected, overnight if possible or at least 2 hours, before reconnecting, start and let idle for 5 minutes before shifting to drive, then drive car on open road and give a firm push to the throttle, try manual shift, if no go, inspect tcm.

Dear go to fuses box in package and check fuse number 18 ( yellow color with 20 Amper ) if it is working or not
