2005 Chevrolet Uplander LS - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Transmision jump
Are you sure this is a tranny problem?? 1st thing you need to do is have a professional drive it and also run a fault code test on the Powertrain control module.
Headlights won't come on
Check fuse both under the hood and inside the vehicle. Also check and cycle the headlight switch. If that does not work press the dome light off switch three times as that can lock the lights off. Good luck.
Why does my 2005 Uplander all of a sudden have only 2nd and reverse gears?
Do you have any lights lit on the dash ? check engine , a yellow wrench, service vehicle soon etc.. These transmissions are electronically controlled ,electric solenoids inside controlled by the powertrain control module ! There is nothing you can do if you don't now about these things , take it to a shop who does ! ASE certified preferable !
Bad smell coming from ac vents
not knowing where you are located, do not rule out expired rodent if you are in the country....seen many in vent system
2005 Chev Uplander LT I want to stop the vents
I think that system is a vacumm operated in to the switches that control your heat and vents. As simple as a hole or disconnected boot on a tiny vacuum line can cause all that.Common problem on a GM, I have an 03 pick up with similar problems and a dealer tech friend told me about it....
CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE LIGHT IS ON REPlaced

I NEED A DIAGRAM OR PICTURE OF THE AC DRAIN TUBE
I had the same water leak issue with my 2005 uplander LT. I seal around the drain tube with RTV and I actually put a flexible plastic tube on the drain at the firewall to make sure water wasn't coming in. Although this is a known common problem. It did not fix my water leak. What I found is the body seam weld at the driver's side kick panel down by the parking brake pedal was leaking. Pull the carpet back and have someone spray the windshield with a water hose and look for leaks in this area. I had to loosen the driver's side fender to pull it away enough so that I could RTV (sealant) all of the seams in that area. I have not had a water problem since.
