If you live in a cold climate then oil takes longer to warm up, this may account for the time lag.if you live in a fairly warm place then the oil is getting quite thick and viscotic. This may suggest its time for an oil change including filter.if this has been recently done then it may be the oil pressure switch.also worn engines have lower compression so the oil pressure takes longer to rise.
if your talking about the bushing in the rack and pinion itself, its better to change the complete assembly as its more than likely all worn out. its not as simple as pulling the old bushing out and installing a new one as the new one has to be fitted to the rack for proper fit.
its possible the PCM has picked up an intermittent reading and set the light. you will have to check for a code before you clear it to reset the light.
have code checked for check engine -the service light and the check engine may be a coincidence but the service are just reminders and the check engine is a problem that the vehicle onboard diagnostics computer found and is letting you know about so most auto stores can scan your vehicle for free and the code will be your start point towards repairing or solving your problem
It depends there are 3 speed sensors 1 on each front wheel and 1 on the output shaft of the transmission. They all talk to each other and the computer All generate a refferance voltage .5 volts and send a signal to the pcm or vcm or ecm .Small problem are like the ones on the front big problems the out put shaft
park it...put it back into 2wd...slowly drive forward about 20 feet...it should reset back into 2wd...let me know if it doesnt please and we can go to the next step. Good luck
Hmm, I thought the fuel filter on 05' was on the pump in the gas tank. Must of started that in 06', mine is in the tank which sucks, my older 02' is external. Have you cleaned your throttle body? If not, likely this is your problem. We don't have a pcv system so our throttle bodies collect lots of carbon and gunk. Remember to unhook the batter while you remove the tb. 4 bolts, and you can reuse your hard gasket many times over. I like using Seafoam spray and rag to clean as it's sensor safe.
