2007 Chevrolet Impala - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
2007 Chevy Impala, clicking noise starts BEFORE key in ignition. Why?
If your 2007 Chevy Impala is making a clicking noise before the key is even inserted into the ignition, it could be caused by a few different issues. Some potential causes include:
- Faulty starter motor: The starter motor is responsible for starting the engine when the ignition is turned on. If the starter motor is faulty or has worn out, it may make a clicking noise as it tries to engage with the flywheel.
- Loose or damaged starter motor relay: The starter motor relay is an electrical component that sends power to the starter motor when the ignition is turned on. If the relay is loose or damaged, it may cause a clicking noise.
- Low battery: If the battery is low on charge or has gone bad, it may not have enough power to start the engine, causing a clicking noise.
- Other electrical issues: There may be other electrical issues, such as a loose connection or a problem with the ignition switch, that are causing the clicking noise.
To determine the cause of the clicking noise, it is recommended to bring your vehicle to a mechanic or a dealership for further diagnosis and repair. They will be able to test the starter motor, battery, and other electrical components to determine the source of the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

How do i remove fuel tank on a 2007 chevrolet impala?
First check a couple of things for me OK. First check the fuse marked fuel pump then check the fuel pump relay both of these are located on the passenger side of the engine in a box with a cover inside the cover it is marked for you if you want to pull the tank make sure the fuel level iis low then remove the two fuel hoses on the tank, then they are two straps remove them but put a support under the tank so as it does not fall on you all tis is by laying on your back and crawl under it But I thank you will fix it and not remove the tank. Good Luck

07 vehicle could well be fully computerised and the fault might be associated with a black box problem. It would be unwise to do much checking without referring to a wiring diagram.
In the case of a fully computerised vehicle it could be best to get a code read, though a generic obd2 code reader only reads emission related codes...

Someone probably forgot to finish the calibration with their scanner. If the car runs fine and everything works, I wouldn't worry too much. If the light is annoying, you will most likely have to pay someone to complete the job.
