2007 Chevrolet Equinox LS - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I have a 2008 model. I am assuming the stabilitrak button(on my SUV) located next to the geer shift is turning the stabilitrak system on and off OK? If not maybe just this switch is bad? Unfortunately my stabilitrak alarm indicator has started coming on periodically too. Mine seems to get reset after driving it for some time then stopping and restarting after several short trips. I'm not sure if mine is a real issue if it goes away after a while of driving. The last time my "check engine" light came on also. When the traction control alarm went away, so did the check engine alarm. Good luck.

there is a retainer ring that holds the pump inside the container.. it comes off and the pump conmes out of the bottom..

Bypass the fan with 12 gauge wire to the batterie directly just to see if the fan work , if it doesnt well you have your answer you need a new one . If it does it can be various other things like fuses , bad ect sensor. Start by checking the fuses hi and low fan , and then the relay , and finally the ect sensor all of these are not expensive and easy to change . Good luck

did you check proportion valve and reset it

Sounds like you might be having a problem with your ABS pump itself.

Have you checked GM, as well as repair shop data base Bulletins for those brake issues? Have you checked with professional scan tool in the abs module for codes? Who is replacing those parts & why? Would seem more like an axle tone ring,wheel hub tone wheel inside bearing hub,abs module needing to be reflashed with an update or wheel speed sensors.

On the side of head, possible bad sensor if car does not show temp high

Traction control uses the engine along with other components, so if the engine is not working correctly the traction control system can be disabled too.You would need to get the computer scanned for codes to proceed.

The Traction Control & Stability is a part of the anti lock brake system When these lights come on there has been a failure code set in the computer for a circuit failure.

This can be a sensor problem sometimes or a calibration change for the computer.You should have your local GM dealer check these systems for failures. These 2 systems work together through the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module).

Switch may be sticking. Use penetrating oil on the stem trying not to get it nside the switch itself.

It may be because of a bad fuse, so first replace the 20-Amp fuse located in the instrument panel fuse box. If that does not solve the problem, check for: 1. Broken switch connection 2. Broken switch 3. Broken or weak wiring 4. Broken circuit 5. Faulty heating pad If this sounds too overwhelming, it would be best to take your car to the dealership for a quick fix.

Check fuse # 63 marked EPS, 80 amp. If that fuse is good, then you likely fried the Steering Control Module
