You need a Special HandHeld Tool which gets connected to the OBD connector in your car (for your info this connector is located somewhere closeby to Steering column ) the HH tool is an Electronic instrument that communicates with your car using CAN protocol.

That's not good, cream coloured oily muck on the oil filler cap usually means water is in the oil. This would indicate either a blown head gasket or cracked head. Somewhere water is getting into the engine. I would get it looked at ASAP as major engine damage can occur if you havent already done so.

This is water foam caused by infrequent oil changes, poor quality oil (Quaker State, Pennsoil), or possible head gasket leak.

The cable is probably broken. The cable goes to the transmission then goes through the firewall into the instrument panel.

I would check out the wiring harness at each light and see if they are corroded or disconnected in any way.

Get the air flow meter checked.

Have you done a proper diagnosis? Is the battery light lying or telling the truth? If it is telling the truth, there are more charging system problems. Time to grab a voltmeter and a manual or schematic for your car.

no enough information to leave us all wondering what you bypassed. You know exactly what you did but failed to communicate to anyone in this forum what you bypassed to get it to go.

Hi Anon To find out what the problem is, you will have to get the code read as this will indicate what the fault is, when the engine management light comes on it could be 1000's of different things, so each error has its own code, you will have to take it to a garage or dealership to enable them to connect a diagnostics reader to your vehicle, reduced power is telling you , you can only drive it slowly as there is a fault and it is not 100% sure what the fault is ( car computers are not intelligent they just know something is wrong ) so it is saying reduce your speed until the fault is fixed. hope that halps

the transmission warning light is an indication of a fault in the transmission which you apparently ignored. You were supposed to have that fault codes read immediately the light came on as that is when the repair will be at the cheapest. have the codes read now to determine what is wrong
