This is a difficult one to answer as it will depend on the layout and setup of your transit. The smaller short wheelbase versions generally have a lower torque setting as they're designed for light haulage. The longer wheel base 'twin wheel' chassis and the high roof versions need a higher setting as they will be used harder and treated as a heavy duty work horse. I've found settings listed from 98Nm all the way up to 206Nm. The most obvious suggestion is to contact a Transit dealer with you van's details and get their advice. Signal and emergency lights are handled by a module in the vehicle. Did you check for power at the socket? Really sounds like a wiring/connector problem.

It's going into limp mode ,electronic problems . A cog with an exclamation mark inside indicates a malfunction with the powertrain, a sensor or software fault. A malfunction with the powertrain may see the vehicle lose a certain amount of power, but will continue to run ,maybe.Has anyone hooked up a scan tool an checked for DTC' S - diagnostic trouble codes or is the mechanic you refer to guessing . Could be a fault with VVT - Variable Valve Timing ,sticking cam phaser . Without knowing codes stored we'd only be guessing .

I have a 2.4 diesel 375 nm model and i have been told that the problem is solved by installing the correct fuel filter. Mine loses all power and stops, and the curly light comes on, and I switch it off and start it again. It works every time but is bloody dangerous on a hill when passing someone and towing a trailer.

If you can get to an Auto Zone they can check to fab. If the battery is dead they can help you replace it.
