2011 vw coolant light is on

It has a low level sensor - you probably need to add antifreeze - some VW's require a special type. Check with your auto parts store.

What is at issue with the oil light on our 2011 Passat CC which is is blinking?

If it is the red outlined oil can it can be either blocked oil flow, or bad oil pump Now I am not trying to scare you but if as you say the oil level is OK then there was a recall i read about with sludge blocking oil ways as the oil filter on some passats was too small and it was causing sludge causing damage to the engine. I hope you get on OK

Passat boot wont open manualy

If it's still under warranty, take it to a dealer. If not... you'll need to find out what linkage in the latch assembly is disconnected, rusted through, or broken. You'll need to do a lot of that by feel after removing the "dress" panel. It's encouraging that your remote will still open it. If it wouldn't open at ALL, you'd be in for a much bigger adventure...

How do I get tarspray off my car?

Possibly gasoline. It will not hurt an OEM finish or a good repaint. It may soften the tar so it can be wiped off. Then a good wax job helps to keep stuff from sticking again and protects the paint/clear coat.
I have scraped/chipped off stuck on stuff with a razor blade without doing damage before, but I have had years of experience at it.
I would not recomend rubbing compound, at least to start with. While the Volkswagens have a good amount of paint on them (at least past VW's did). When you're starting with a lump of tar, you could go through the paint that is not covered by it before the tar is removed.

Tires cupping. Service adviser at

Not necessarily. You will have to read the fine print in your warranty. If the warranty doesn't cover maintenance items then you are out of luck. Maintenance items usually include brakes, tune ups, oil changes, tires, etc., things that normally wear quickly. Suspension could also be considered a maintenance item because there are many factors involved in determining how long it will last before you need to start replacing suspension parts, none of which the factory has any control over. They can be held accountable if there is a flaw in the suspension such as a manufacturing defect or design flaw, but that's about it. They can't control how you drive or load the car. Bad roads (potholes, bumps) or heavy loaded or overloaded cars dramatically shorten the life of suspension. Driving habits can also factor in, especially in conjunction with one of the other two.
You would have to prove to them that it's not your fault before they would consider doing anything about it if the fine print eliminates maintenance items from the warranty. If the fine print doesn't then you will have to argue the specific parts of the warrant that you think apply to your situation. Hope this helps.
