there is something wrong with the airbag system. Check the fuse that protects it, and if it is ok, then take the car to the dealership right away. They will tell you what's wrong. Because if you don't, and if you get into an accident, the airbags won't deploy.

hi, the fan sound you hear could be down to one of a few things.
now the first thing that would need checking would be to see if the radiator fan was controlled by the heat of the engine or if it runs off a fan belt, as i am not 100% sure on your model i could not be sure to tell you.

how ever all you would need to do to check is open the bonet and look at the fan at the back off the rad now if you see a belt going to it then its bet driven but if you see a couple of wires going to it then its electronic, now if its electronic you can turn the ignition on and start the engine now if then fan starts working as soon as you start the engine then the switch will need replacing as the fan should only come on when the engine gets hot,

so if you have had a look and with the engine running the fan is not turning then the noise wont be coming from their what you then need to do is have a listen with the bonnet open to see if you can hear whitch part of the engine the noise is coming from, the sort of places that could cause the noise are any of the pulles such as water pump, crank, cams, basically any of the pulleys that turn with the timing belt or fan belt,

now if the problem is with the rad fan then your friend should be able to change the switch with no problems how ever if the problem is with one of the pulleys then this is going to be a big job and should be done under your extended warranty so as not to void your warranty in any way.

let me know if you can hear roughly where the noise is coming from with the bonnet open, does the noise happen when the engine is idling in neutral or only when driving along, let me know ok

It should be replaced. The windshield actually will provide protection in a roll over crash, keeping the roof from caving in and crushing occupants. So you want it to be crack free for the strength to be there to protect you. The only repairs that can be made are much smaller than what you describe, and in hot and cold weather the glass will continue to expand and contract, and crack further.

You may find your dealer will sort this for free as there was a TSB around 2006 meaning recognised fault.

The control module is your ECU (the computer that controls everything on the car). Its normally located on the drivers/passenger firewall or some makers put it under the drivers seat. It looks like a huge computer hard drive (silver in color) and has 3-4 plugs about 50-100 wires coming out of it. You'll know it when you see it
