How do I fix what I've been told is a little end replacement?
It would be more likely a connecting rod bearing that has worn and possibly spun.
Depending if you want a long term repair, the whole engine will have to be stripped and inspected for oil starved components.
Or you could remove oil pan, carry out a main and big end bearing roll, and clean up any damage to crankshaft with fine strip emery cloth, run and see how it goes..

HAVE A 2010 SUZUKI SX4, CHANGED BATTERY, WENT TO GET INSPECTION, FAILED. MECHANIC SAID I NEED TO DRIVE IT ABOUT 80 MILES TO RESET COMPUTER. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

that is correct. removing the battery resets the ECU/PCM
this causes all EPA mandated monitors to RESET TOO.
and you must drive them to completion.
the 2 hards ones are:
EVAP, take must not be full. keep below 3/4 and drive.
(hint, needs that air space on top to run the test)
EVAP mon. can take 30minute so finish on many cars...
(evap means fuel tank vent system tests) EPA is strict here.
EGR. takes, a hot engine. drive fast, say 45+ mph and cruise on flat ground
this finishes, test 1, test 2 is , coast fast to a stop. gently braking.
free way off ramp is perfect stop.
all others are fast on a hot engine, and yes it must get
to 180F+ and hold hot, or all bets off,.... all. !!!

Why will my 2010 Suzuki sx4 automatic will not start
Is the battery holding the charge, and does it have any dead cells? Try boosting it, if it turns over and starts, the battery is bad. Check the level in the battery as well as the specific gravity. All cells should be within 25 points of each other and no cells should have more then 50 points difference between the lowest and highest reading.

Trouble Code Conditions:
EVAP vent valve stuck open: EVAP leak check pressure is lower than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP vent valve is operated from OFF (OPEN) to ON (CLOSE) with EVAP leak detection pump ON. EVAP vent valve stuck closed: EVAP leak check pressure is unstable (difference between maximum and minimum is 0.36 kPa or more) when EVAP vent valve is OFF (OPEN) with EVAP leak detection pump ON. EVAP leak detection pump stuck OFF: EVAP leak check pressure is higher than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP leak detection pump is ON. EVAP leak detection pump flow high: Reference pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is lower than specified value (depending on BARO) EVAP leak detection pump flow Low: Reference pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is higher than specified value (depending on BARO).
Possible Causes:
- EVAP leak detection pump (in EVAP leak check module) and/or its circuit
- EVAP vent valve (in EVAP leak check module) and/or its circuit
- EVAP leak check module and/or its circuit
- ECM

take it in for service?
or get a new scan tool and scan it for all factory codes.
DTC errors. maybe there will be a code telling errors at the cluster
or power to it, or comm errors to it.
Cruise control
call suzuki and ask. ECU options are HUGE.
you will have to tell them every option on car.
but the question is wrong,
can i put aftermarket cruise on any throttle by wire car?
no... but do call suzuki and ask, and hear them laugh.
or sell you theirs for 2 grand.
TBW , there must not be any interference with the throttle ever
some fail at 1% error.
the ECU is calibrated for cruise and 10x more tightly integrated
with TBW.

leaking injector, find out which cylinder.?you look in to spark plug holes to do that......then diagnose the failing injectors, (3 ways to fail)1: injector leaking.2: wires shorted at inj.3: ecu/pcm failure.
