2010 Nissan Titan - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

no problem told the users guide in the glove box tells this, if lost is free at Nissan (or google it) some fuses run 10 to 20 thing and that above book is useless for all 20 things on one feed. the box can only name 1 load, not 20;. so they invented the service manual for that. it shows it all so not telling the problem there can be no real answer. or learn to just test all fuses (3 ways there are) {look,ohms or volts)ways lacking the SM book what else can you do.>? here it is https://eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp

Check the compression on each cylinder and the head gaskets as I had a couple of cylinders leaking to each other and worn rings that made it a pest to start first thing in the morning or after a couple of hours is it using coolant much if so it can indicate the gasket is leaking

I suggest you go on you tube an look at a few diagnostic trouble shooting videos , On engine turns over but doesn't start or crank - no start . If you want to fix your own vehicle you need to know the basic's . It has to have three thing's for an engine to start an run . The ignition system needs to supply spark to fire the fuel in the cylinder . An then there is fuel , hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail an see if it has pressure . Then the engine has to be sound mechanically . Does it have compression ? Do a compression test with a compression tester . Your just hunting in the dark with out a systematic approach to trouble shooting . Pull a plug wire an hold it close to metal on the engine an have some one crank over the engine ,is there spark ? Yes - No . If no find a wiring diagram ,check for B+ at the coils , ignition control module , Test to see if the PCM is controlling the coils (turn on an off ) . Does your car have a tachometer ? When cranking the engine does it move ? If not may have a bad crank sensor. When you turn the key on does the check engine light come on ? There are a lot of reasons why a vehicle will not start . I have worked as a Tech. starting back in the early 80's at a Chevy dealer . I still learn new stuff daily .

There is a switch which controls these. Not sure where it is on your truck, but most auto trans trucks have this either on a gear selector switch (neutral safety) at the bottom of the steering column, or a switch mounted to the side of the trans. Standard trans. the switch usually screws into the side of the trans. Parts stores have a parts locator chart which should help.

Are you certain that the battery is good? Make sure that there's nothing in the car that's drawing additional power, such as leaving the headlights or radio or other accessories on when the engine is not running. If everything else seems good, then it's possible that the alternator has gone bad. The alternator is what charges the battery while the engine is running, and if the battery isn't charging that could be why it gets weak. Your car is a 2010 car though, still quite new, so it's unlikely that the alternator goes bad this quickly. If your car is still covered under warranty, you might want to take this in for a mechanic to check.

Hello .. As strange as this may sound ,, your brake lights are (most of the time) tied into your signal light switch . Try plugging in on you know is good before buying a new one . It stops your front signal lights from coming on when you apply the brakes since your signal lights usually run on the same wire as the brake lights ....

Sorry to hear that you spent that dough on a possible head gasket issue . Did the mechanic get told about the white smoke ? You will get an OBDII error code on O2 sensors when the motor is burning antifreeze . Nissan should be as long lived as my Subaru sensors being Japanese (still going at 690000 km) Can you connect rad pressure gauge when cold and start up and note if pressure rises relatively fast...should rise slow and steady . Can you get a whiff of exhaust when burning white , sickly sweet smell or such .
