Whining sound inreases in pitch

I believe your suspition is correct, likely one of the engine accessories driven by the serpentine belt. Look for any pulley that appears to have rust or debris built up behind the pulley near the pulley shaft. Usually if the bearing is going out, the elements will get to it producing some signs of corrosion. Also observe carefully while engine idling for any wobble in one of the pulleys. You can also take the pulleys in both hands and try to force a wobble moving side to side. (best done with belt off) to determine if a component is failing. Thanks, Mike

JEEP losing power and vibrating.Problem

Go to that dealer, and ask for a specific reason that they flashed your pcm. Then ask for the the software number, and exactly why the tech decided this was the correct thing to do.I worked in a Chrysler dealership, and flashing the pcm is a great way to get rid of a car that you can't fix. I would go back, report the same problem, and insist on reasons why they are doing what they are doing. Many of the dealership techs nowadays , are quite inexperienced, as this holds down costs, and the rely upon the scan tools, and electronic diagnostics, as this is what they were taught, and often miss the mechanical faults. As a master tech of 25 years, I'm not judging, I'm just saying.

No, but if there is a ridge on the outer edge of the rotor, you may need to collapse the caliper piston a bit to slide it off the rotor. You can sometimes do this by pulling on the outside edge of the caliper and rotating it toward the axle end. Or, if you can get a screwdriver in between the inner pad and the rotor (do not pry on the piston), you may be able to pry the piston in that way. I often pry it all the way back using this technique--it saves the step of collapsing the piston with a c-clamp to get the new pads to open far enough to reinstall. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Noise in the drive belt

Depending on the engine size and year, some belt routing is on the belt cover. Check the alignment of the crank pulley or harmonic balancer, a common problem . Most jeeps tension the belt by the power sterring pump or a tensioner pulley next to power sterring .

What does the battery light

Battery light indicates that you have a charging system problem. Have it checked immediately or it will either die or not start, usually when you need it most. (seems to always work that way).
Moat larger parts stores will do a free test and that will give you a good idea what is happening there.

Rain water leaked thru the

Does the vehicle have a sun/moon roof? If so, it is common for the drain tube to become plugged which causes the water to back up into the sun roof module. The water then spills over into the rails that run side to side and leaks into the passenger compartment. The low point of the roof rails being the interior light. Open the sun roof all of the way and look for the drain tube(s). They usually tap into one or more of the corners of the sun roof module and then follow the conture of the vehicle either to the front or rear and drain the water out near the wheelhouse area. You'll need to find some way to disconnect the tubes from the module and flush the debris out. It is usually tiny bits of dust or sand that will flush out quite easily. You have to watch out for a couple of things. Do not drop the tubes as they may fall into the channel of the vehicle, and, use very light water pressure when flushing. There may be other connections in the hose downstream, and you don't want to dislodge those connections.

Would tires 225-60-17 fit my

Yes they will fit. You may experience some minor rubbing on sharp turns or under heavy loads but probably not. The 225 tire is slightly higher than the 215. They will also slow your speedometer down by about 2 MPH. Hope this helps.
