Sounds like a spark plug or ignition coil that fits over the spark plug. When were they replaced last? Once removing the spark plug, while you're in there replace the ignition coils too. It sounds like only one coil is acting up but I'd replace them all. Go online and search for the best deals. Approx. $35 each.

There's a good chance the engine is burning that much oil. Depending on mileage it could be the PCV valve sticking, the piston rings could be bad or perhaps valve guides are going bad, usually indicated by a puff of blue smoke when it starts after sitting a while.
