Location of transmission dip stick
Right behind the air box on the 2.4L engine. Note that this model car requires that the engine is off when checking the stick (unlike most cars). The procedure is to first get the engine up to operating termperature then put the car in park, engage the emergency brake, then put the car in drive low, drive 2, neutral, reverse then park. Shut car off then check transmission fluid level. Source - 2010 Chrysler Sebring owner's manual.
Location of fuel filter
The fuel filter is part of an assembly that includes the filter, pump, sending unit, and float for fuel gauge. Below is a pic. Although it's an expensive part, it can be accessed and replaced by removing the lower cushion portion of the back seat. This unit is right underneath the seat. Good luck!
How to replace a battery on Sebring 2010?
See my pic below. The battery is in the wheel well in front of the driver side tire. I took this pic when I had the entire front bumper off to work on the radiator. You obviously don't have to take the bumper off to get to the battery, but it's still a pain. To change the battery you need to remove the driver side front tire. Then remove the plastic push pins holding the front of the black plastic wheel well. (These push pins have a center button that need to be lifted. They sell a tool, but a flat screwdriver works fine. Once the center button is lifted the push pin comes right out). Once you have the front wheel well off you can see and reach the battery. Good luck to all!
Why does the back passenger wheel, sqaek when driving slowly
This could be a few things, depending upon the nature of the "squeak".
- It could be a simple case of brake pads rubbing slightly on the rotor, a common issue that occasionally results in squeaks.
- It could be that the wear indicator on the brake pad is rubbing the rotor, an indication that brake pads need replacement soon.
- Least likely is a wheel bearing that is showing signs of wearing out. This will get worse over time if it is the cause.
Diver side window off track
Most chryslers use a cable driven window motor and track system if it is a power window. Chances are the cable is bad and the window regulator assembly will have to be replaced. The door panel will have to be dissasemble to verify the problem
