What does code p2459 mean?
Causes- Exhaust leak - Improperly installed or loose Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) - Low engine compression - Corroed fuel injector - Water in the fuel system_ fuel filter or water seperator fouled.
When is the code detected? The P2459 will set if the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the average time between completed regenerations is less than a calibrated threshold.
Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P2459 Description The particulates in the exhaust gases are collected by the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). When the filter becomes saturated with particulates, they are incinerated by a regeneration process. The regeneration process increases the exhaust gas temperature, warning the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) first, the warning the DPF. The Engine Control Module (
ECM) monitors the system with inputs from two Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensors 1 and 2 and the exhaust differential pressure sensor. Read more:

Heater will not heat up. what do I check in order of importance?
If you are talking about heat from your cars heater. If you have coolant or water in it then your heater core is probably stopped up. I have had to unstop a few of them by taking the hoses off at the water pump and blowing air thru them. The clog should come free. They stop up from using things like stop leak.

Bought truck from private seller...3
you need to change the oil every 3 thousand miles and stay on top of your automatic transmission fluid. Keep the radiator full and make sure you are protected from freezing. Keep terminals clean on battery brushing away any trace of debris. As for the problem, perhaps your best bet would to be to carry a few spare flywheels in your trunk just in case a crack pops up again in one of them.

There must be some short circuit or grounding issue. How handy you are in working with the internal electrical circuits of your chevy?

1998 chevy k 2500 cranks but wont start ,
See if you're missing fuel or spark.
Does the fuel pump buzz for about 2 seconds when the key is first turned to ON? Do you have about 60psi of fuel pressure? Are your fuses good?
Then you can probe injector wires and have the ignition module tested at an Auto Zone.
Pull a coil wire, do you get spark? Do you have power to the coil? Again, test the ignition module.

2004 2500 HD duramax engine.
Your engine is a diesel common rail direct injection model, using the BOSCH system: a single main pump takes the fuel out of the tank and sends it in the high pressure rail at 23,000 psi (not 166) - the pressure is regulated with a very special valve; from there each injector is directly fueled. So there is nothing inside the engine that could cause that.
But they might be right on one thing: the first generation of Duramax engines were notorious for bad injectors so if the error code has said something about low pressure then the first thing that those mechanics should have done should have been to check and, if necessary, replace the injectors - not the pump which (unless you are using crappy fuel) is bulletproof.
BTW the most common cause here is a clogged fuel filter or fuel line - but i assume that even they knew enough to check them before replacing the pump.

I have a 2002 silerado
I am unsure if I understood the question. The airbag itself is in the steering column but check first the connections underneath the seat. There are wiring for the airbag for its sensors used for deployment. It may have been loose or disconnected. Sometimes when someone vacuums the underneath of the seat or when someone puts something underneath.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
You may want to clear the fill vent as well. It can be clogged by dirt and rust that's why the problem still occurs. I believe you'll be good after the procedure.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Possibly someone stole your fuel. I would put a 5 gallon jug in it, and try it again. There could be fuel in the filter, but nothing in the tank for the pump to work with.
