On a 2001, and because it is only on one side of the vehicle, and because it is the drivers side only, my guess is that the wire that goes from the driver's door to the door frame is damaged. The best course of action would be to take it to an auto electrician for diagnosis with their pro grade scan tool computer. Hi, please take your car to your local autozone and allow them to run a free diagnostic test on the car to see if the same error comes up on their end. If so, then the error is real and they can advise you on the next steps to take to overcome it. Thank you.

No year told, NO ENGINE told, nOR GAS OR DIESEL.?????? i= gas. first we test fuel last , not pumps first (sorry but i cover that) the engine must be good, no bad engine burns fuel and run. next is (gas engine) spark must be good or if diesel glow plugs.working. then comes fuel checks last. (all this is basic basics 101 stuff) the PCm cuts fuel for many good reasons. but we test fuel pressure cranking, on any dead engine using a tool called fuel gauge ( PSI or in Europe BAR/kPA) CRANKING ONLY IF THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IS DEAD, MOST TIMES THAT MEANS THE PCM IS CUTTING FUEL ON PURPOSE. TOP CASE PCM SEES SPARK DEAD AND MUST BY LAW CUT FUEL FAST. if car has bad TPS sensor and it sends 5vdc to the PCM for throttle angle (100^%) or WOT false signal the PCM cuts fuel or the PCM sees IMMO not happy it cuts fuel. or spark and on some cars even cuts cranking, on my car it cuts fuel after 3 second run if IMMO KEY FAILS. other simple tests, is Test fuel.spray if engine good and spark good, test fuel works. see? but no engine told and spark plugs all tested for good spark.. on on all uSA cars here, 1996 up any OBD2 scantool works so we scan it first. see why the PCM cut fuel??? as it can for many reasons, on gasoline engine top causes are P03xx DTC errors for sure CMP or CKP sensors failing it cuts fuel 1or2 ways. NO CAR TOLD at all. 47 year span , sorry can not guess. The year the first BMW 320i was manufactured was 1975 Max Nebular car. fuel is cut to prevent CRASH and burn as seen on TV, endless. by law and pure hard LOGIC. deep inside the PCM. and more.

Have you checked for voltage to the injectors? If all of them are not working it could be something as simple as a blown fuse or a faulty relay. ok posted 2 times ANON but this time, tells BMW. so get the free manual on the car and read the radio setting features or pull the RADIO fuse for 10mins and put back the fuse. to reset. it.

ok, all fuses good. glow plugs test okay. all filters good. fuel and air fuel pumps all primed. try test fuel? using a spray bottle with diesel in it ,past air cleaner point. if that works (runs)for say 3 seconds, the injectors are not injecting fuel.

there is no reset button. it is a fully secure system.(as in NOT HACK-ABLE) they only passive reset is pull main battery NEG LUG for 15min to 1hr. and put back check all fuses then scan the PCM, to see why the IMMO is not happy. car came new with 2 keys, lost the 2nd?

Limp mode is usually a sign there is something the vehicle electronics lists as possibly serious. A yellow light is generally a caution sign and means it needs looking at as soon as you possibly can, where a red light means it needs to be looked at there and then. You will need to get the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 Scanner to check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes, (DTC's). only 2 causes (besides switches bad)_ window guides jammed or motor drive bad/. on most cars i remove the motor and move the window by hand and if ok motor is bad or test 12vdc to the motor, to be sure it is 12vcd in operation learn that all modern cars the motor now has kids clutch inside that fails, so not to crash kids heads, they say. it loves to fail as most clutches do (cheap(ish))

in Aaska ot Florida keys? well 2 things. 1: lock jammed and bad mechican lures 2: lock solenoid, bad electric coil same as above cure. new. 3: electrics side bad switches bad, to it. do all switches fail to it master and or itself? if all fail the door is bad or wires to it. why not get shop to fix it. like most do, we use voltmeter in 1minute flat, ahhhh 12vdc reaches this solenoid, and lock is bad. or read the users guide yet. have child locks some hidden in doors door jamp or master lock driver , rocker switch kids safe. but kills all rear doors. no told you what all doors do first/????

wow a time machine traveler , warpped here via a Worm hole bridge from time/space, 2033 welcome to earth,. if lucky the damage is only blown fuses. harness wires. or Computers on board, year 2033 must now have over 100 computes on board to our 10. Our cars even 50 fuses, some tiny and some huge. 100amps even or even 5amps.small. wise is check them all. check fuses and if all is good find car repair shop, they can fix it or scan the PCM is this a USA " are, is USA now resolved in year 2033, and now part of CHINA.<< do tell me this so I can move South. all cars had body to engine to battery negative jumper. if that blows up it must be replaced, a 6 gauge wire on mine. seen cars with it burned to a crisp. doing just like you did. or using jumper cables dead wrong.
