2004 Buick Rainier Cruise control does not work or come on.

Take your Rainier out for a drive and see if the cruise control still works. If it does, the VSS is likely fine. If not, the VSS could be the culprit (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Cruise control also depends on throttle position. Ensure that the throttle body and related components are functioning properly. Examine the wiring going to and from the VSS. Look for any damaged or frayed wires. The most common reasons for cruise control malfunction are failed control modules, faulty sensors, or switch issues. While you've already replaced the brake switch module, it's essential to verify that it's functioning correctly. Additionally, check other control modules related to the cruise control system. While you've already replaced the brake switch module, there might be a separate cruise control module. Inspect this module for any signs of malfunction. Powertrain Control Module (PCM): The PCM monitors the signal circuits of the cruise control switches to determine when to capture and maintain the selected vehicle speed. It uses the throttle actuator control (TAC) module motor to control the vehicle speed. That would be something to check. Visually check cable connections and for corrosion. A multimeter can check the battery which can affect the PCM. Sometimes, disconnecting the battery to clear any fault codes can resolve cruise control issues. Possibly that might work even though you see no fault codes.

My rev. Lights on my 2002 buick rendezvous are not working.all other lights ,wiper,s brakes, and defrost work, but no rev lights?

This seems to to be an issue with some Buicks. I don't think Buick have a specific fuse for the back up lights and the 2005 to 2007 Rendezvous models had a relay for those lights. OK. Start with the simple and silly stuff first. Check the bulbs and the sockets they fit into. It could be a blown bulb or there is dirt and corrosion on the contacts blocking the electrical current to the bulb. Using a multimeter set to DC volts test the bulb socket for power to the bulb. With the Park brake ON, the Ignition ON and the Engine OFF selecting reverse should turn the back up lights on to test for power. If no power to the light fitting next move to the switch on the Transmission the shifter operates when you select reverse. I'm not sure where it is on the Rendezvous Transmission, You might get lucky and it'll be screwed into the housing next to the actual shifter.

1999 Buick Regal LS. Lost Overdrive. Changed filter no help. Can be forced into OD if I get the RPM'S up over 3000. 170,000+ on it. 4T65E transmission. Is there a quick fix for this?

P1811 is for maximum shift adaptation and long shift detected. The possible causes are long - clogged transmission filter cut seal on transmission filter low or burnt fluid 1-2 accumulator faulty 2-3 accumulator faulty 3-4 accumulator faulty valve body spacer plate damaged pressure regulating solenoid damaged pressure regulating valve damaged fluid pump faulty restriction in hydraulics of transmission 1,2 or 3 clutch damaged forward band burned or broken torque converter clutch broken The first step is to check line pressures with scan tool and transmission pressure gage, then with scan tool test the pressure solenoid. If pressures are low and pressure solenoid test good, then transmission is pulled and torn down to inspect and repair as needed, which is usually a complete rebuild in this case.

1999 Buick Regal LS. Gas gauge is stuck ??

The float arm inside the tank is sticking. You would need to remove it, make sure it is free and perhaps bend it left or right a bit, but not up or down as that will change the level reading. https://www.google.com/search?q=1999+Buick+Regal+LS.+Gas+gauge+is+stuck ..

How do u change aa distributer

Okay, for starters you're going to need a Phillips screwdriver, now you have to put each wire on the right terminal.First identify the proper orientation of the cap, it only goes one way, look for the tag on the cap that must fit into the notch in the housing align the old and the new caps remove the wires one by one from the old cap to the new cap then use the screwdriver to turn each of the four retaining lugs you must push down the screwdriver and turn them CCW about a quarter to a half turn the app should come off the rotor is there underneath remove the two screws and install the new rotor it only goes one way. Put the cap on making sure it fits into the notch. The lugs should go back in easily if the cap is on right way, if not you would have to feel for it. Good luck..... ????

2008 Buick Lucerne. I put aftermarket radio in, and when I hook the yellow wire up the fuse on the radio keeps blowing. I installed a different aftermarket radio and it works fine.

These ideas seldom work because the radio is controlled and monitored by the BCM computer. All your warning chimes and indicator beeps come from the BCM and are played through the audio system. The yellow is the live for the backlight. YE Backlight Lamp Control https://www.google.com/search?q=2008+buick+lucerne+radio+wiring+diagram ..

I accidentally closed the rear hatch on some sort of wire and now I can't get the hatch open again. I am unable to pull the piece of wire that it closed on out. How do I fix this? Thanks so much.!

Here's what you can try to open the hatch of your 2004 Buick Rendezvous: Open the hatch and slip a screwdriver's shaft into the opening of the latch (simulating that the latch has engaged the metal bar on the floor of the SUV). Apply pressure in the latch via the shaft of the screwdriver. While pulling against the latch, operate the unlock button of the fob or unlock with the key (whichever your truck has) . If this doesn't work, you may want to consider taking your car to a professional mechanic or a Buick dealership for further assistance. But here is video on how to remove a window, if that servers any help. Door Window Removal And Installation Buick Rendezvous (youtube.com)

2006 buick lucerne 4.6l fuel filter location

The 2006 Buick Lucerne with a 4.6L engine does not have a traditional serviceable fuel filter that is easily accessible and replaceable like some older vehicles. Instead, the fuel filter is integrated into the fuel sender assembly, which is located inside the fuel tank. This design is common in many modern vehicles, where the fuel filter is not intended for routine maintenance and is expected to last the life of the vehicle. If you suspect a fuel system issue or a clogged fuel filter, it's recommended to consult your vehicle's service manual or contact a Buick dealership for guidance. In some cases, if there are symptoms of fuel system problems, such as poor performance or hesitation, it may be necessary to perform a diagnostic scan using specialized tools to identify and address the issue. If you are not experienced with working on fuel systems or if you are uncertain about the location and replacement procedure of the fuel filter in your Buick Lucerne, it's advisable to seek professional assistance. A qualified mechanic or Buick service technician can provide accurate information and perform any necessary repairs or diagnostics.

How do I figure out what's causing a P0455 code? I had the purge valve and gas cap replaced.

DTC P0455: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Large Leak Circuit/System Description The powertrain control module (PCM) tests the evaporative emission (EVAP) system for a large leak. The PCM monitors the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor signal to determine the EVAP system vacuum level. When the conditions for running are met, the PCM commands the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve OPEN and the EVAP vent solenoid valve CLOSED . This allows engine vacuum to enter the EVAP system. At a calibrated time, or vacuum level, the PCM commands the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve closed, sealing the system, and monitors the FTP sensor input in order to determine the EVAP system vacuum level. The following table illustrates the relationship between the ON and OFF states, and the OPEN or CLOSED states of the EVAP canister purge and vent solenoid valves. The red X by the 02 sensor on your scan tool has nothing to do with. You had the gas cap and the purge valve replaced, how about the vent valve under the back of the car. These go bad, cause large leaks. Also check the fuel fill tube, they like to rust out causing large leaks. If all that is good you may won't to it to a repair shop an have it smoke tested.
