2017 Hyundai Tuscon drivers seat mechanism will not work for reclining seat. I need this to help ease getting in and out. Is this something I can fix myself?
The mechanism of a reclining driver's seat in a car can be complex, and it may require specialized tools and knowledge to diagnose and fix the problem. Depending on the cause of the issue, it may be possible for you to fix it yourself if you have the necessary skills and tools, but if you are not experienced with automotive repairs, it may be best to take the vehicle to a professional mechanic.
Before attempting any repairs, you should consult the owner's manual for your vehicle to understand the seat mechanism and any safety precautions you should take. If the problem is related to a broken part or a loose connection, you may be able to fix it by yourself with some basic tools.
However, if the issue is more complex or requires a replacement part, it may be best to take your vehicle to a professional mechanic or an authorized Hyundai dealership for repair. They will have the expertise and experience to diagnose the problem and repair the seat mechanism correctly and safely.
Tucson back door won't open
Tucson has this notorious problem. The door locks operate using a steel cable, just like the clutch cable of most of the motorcycles. This cable stretches out with time and eventually, the throw of the lock (the range of motion) would not be enough to pull the cable sufficiently and unlock the cars. On youtube, you'll find some fixes which basically suggest to cut the stopper in the lock mechanism to increase the throw length of the lock latch.
