I have a 1986 Chevy Silverado with a 350 engine, why does my top radiator hose keep collapsing?
The hose collapses because there is air in the cooling system. If the system is properly full, the hose cannot collapse because water does not compress. If there is a leak in the system, you need to repair it, refill and bleed the cooling system, and ensure that the reservoir has a proper level of coolant in it. If there are no leaks in the system, then the reservoir (recovery) bottle could be low on coolant, allowing air into the system during the expansion and contraction that occurs as the coolant heats and cools. Another thing that can cause this issue is a defective/worn out radiator cap. I would recommend replacement of the cap, refill and bleed the cooling system, then top off the reservoir and then monitor for any further issues.

2005 chevy silverado 4wd emc wiring harness for purge valve solenoid
I am having the same thing. I talked to a guy tonight said take the fuse block under the hood, and flip it. Look at the right side section, bottom left corner a thin red wire was burnt up inside the connectors. His friend works for the dealership told him where to look. Said so many of thesetrucks have this issue but Chevrolet wont do the recall. He also said check them all just in case. It wont cost you anything but a little bit of time. I'mchecking mine tomorrow. I had my transfer case rebuilt, new pushbuttons, new tccm, new transfer case motor, and still nothing. My next step was a auto electrical shop. I truly hope this helps because I know your pain. And stress.....oh the stress

1997 5.7l Z71. Why does it act as though it is out of time?
It could very well be out of time. Timing chains wear and sometimes jump a tooth on the gears. Crank position sensor and/or cam shaft position sensor can be bad. Run a diagnostic test to see if the codes for these sensors are present. The Throttle body sensor if it's bad will give wrong signals to the ignition computer but that will show up on the diagnostic test. If the sensors test good, then look inside the engine for a worn timing chain and gears.
