Smart Car has Readout of 3 horizontal lines with gear selection
Hi there I just had a similar thing happen to me drove up the motorway and just as I came off at WSM I couldn't find any gear. The dredid 3 lines came up on the dash and a grinding noise from the back. I had to get the rescue service to take me back down to cornwall and dropped it at the garage. Just got it back the garage said they could not find the problem but they flushed the oil and fluids and bobs your uncle. Only time will tell if its ok but they did say sometimes the gears can stick and it just needs cleaning through. Is this true I don't know but all seems good now just makes me wonder it can happen again. It's got full service and was serviced last 2 months ago 53 passion. I did hear and read its common for the selector to go but I don't know anyone else with a smart car to ask. Anyway that's my woes I hope this anyone in a similar situation.

Hi, there are two methods to reset that reminder:
Method 1 Switch on ignition to position 1 Select maintenance indicator within 4 sec. by double tapping the instrument cluster button Switch off the ignition to position 0 (off) within 10 sec. Push and hold in the instrument cluster button and switch ignition on Hold the instrument cluster button for another 10 sec In that time, the spanner symbol on the LCD will flash and eventually reset

My smart car wont go into reverse
The issue may be a small screw inside the shift lever head. It should be replaced, lubricated, and will not a problem ever.
Hopefully, your fix will be easy.
Where is the fuse box
hi fuse box is located at the passangers footwell the battery is under the carpet also at the left side footwell

Fuses 2008 smart car
the fuse box is under the dash on the driver' side.the manual can be found on the internet on free manuals,com. no.1 is the 25 amp fuse for the engine.check on the bak of the alternator too

Alternator problem,battery light came om a year
check the earths on the engine and the shell, usually do this if the earth id not good. regulator is built into the alternator. no others needed. depending on the voltage stated on alternator should be 14v plus minus 2. battery should be 12.06 or 8 if brand new,
P0318 code 2002 beetle
The reason of P0318 OBD-II Engine Trouble Code is Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent.
Disable traction control
there is no switch to do that , but you can buy a tuning piece that would be installed in the OBD socket which will disable the traction
How to reset oil on smart car
Best way is to get it done by proper tool
But you can try the following , does not always work :
the instructions prior to performing the OilReset:
1) Turn the ignition switch to on (do not start the engine).
2) Select maintenance indicator within 4 seconds by double tapping the instrument cluster button (to the left of the odomoter) and hold it down on the second press.
3) Continue to hold button and turn the ignition off.
4) Turn the ignition switch on (do not start the engine) and continue to hold the button for 10 seconds. The wrench symbol should begin to flash and eventually go out.
5) Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
