How do you turn on launch control

for 2010 and earlier GTR's... need to select drive, push leaver over to select manual mode, then opush the suspension into R mode, push the gearbox into R mode and push the VDC switch into OFF, left foot the brake, flat to the floor on throttle, let go of the brake pedal and hold the f*** on!be aware is very violent on the vehcile and can destroy gearboxes. if its still under warranty the dealers can tell if this has been done may not pay to repair.the sequence is different for the 2011 GTR's all three switches must be in R. and is covered by warranty.

The tire pressure monitor could have been damaged, or it may need to be relearned - either way it's a dealership fix.

Hi, was wondering how to set a distributor on a

Well the first thing is to check the plugs and set them to 25thou, clean and set the points to 12 thou on the high lip on the cam.remove the vacuum hose from the distributor
Now set the timing mark on the harmonic balancer to TDC, and refit the cap NOW start engine run to 1000 rpm and turn the distributor to the left a little till it starts to run rough, then to the right the same in between the left and right it should be the best place to tighten up the clamp on the distributor and then refit the vacuum hose test run .
If it has a ping when throttling up then you need to turn the distributor forward just a little.
Let me know how you get on . RON

It sqeeks, and it stops by its self.not by turning

smell of fuel is completly normal for these GTR's as the fuel tank is basically mounted on the top of the transmission in the rear, Nissan have designed a fuel system and a breathing system so the heat generated by the transmission does not affect performance, but to achieve this there is a strong fuel smell when is hot, and you may have noticed it is very difficult to fill with fuel when is hot, Is normal

Skyline car???

the R32 + 33 skylines are good motor cars, from a 2nd hand point of view, make sure they have been maintained and not excessivly modified, as a nissan mechanic the biggest problem with the skylines are when people increase the turbo boost without bigger intercoolers or fuel systems, this will eventually destroy the motor.
If you can find one, buy an unmodified one, or one that has been modified correctly.
Also be aware the timing belt and platnum spark plugs neede to be replaced every 100,000km or 60,000miles, this can be an expensive job...

Bonnet open/top up symbol.and how to calibrate tyre pressure cont

alanracrider: on your hood light (alternate term we use here in the states), there are switches located in the engine compartment which the hood come in contact with when it is closed.I do not have any data on your particular car, but if it is like most Nissan products, the switch or switches should be visible. If they are out of adjustment and do not get depressed far enough, they will not break the ground circuit which makes the light stay on.
The tire pressure issue should be the same as it is on any other Nissan produce. I doubt seriously that Nissan developed something just for the GTR which would improve over the present design.
The procedure is as follows: The pressures Must be adjusted "COLD" to the recommended specifications as written on the label in the door opening. Then the car must be driven at speeds above 26kph to activate the tire pressure monitoring system. "USE A TIRE PRESSURE GAGE WHEN CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE PRESSURES!" According to Nissan, the light should cancel.
I hope this information is correct for your car, as it would address a Nissan "Z" car. Good luck
