2009 Mazda MAZDA6 - Page 2 Questions & Answers
How do I replace the front brake pads on my 2009
Step
1
Park the Mazda 6 on a flat surface. Put the emergency brake on and put wedges behind the wheels to prevent the
vehicle from rolling. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Using a syringe, turkey baster or similar tool, drain two thirds of the brake fluid from the master cylinder. Remove the wheel.
Step 2
Remove the bolts attached to the brake pipe. Remove the bolt cap attached to the caliper top. Swing the caliper, pivoting it downwards. Suspend the caliper from the frame using mechanics wire. Remove the M-springs, the pads and the shims.
Step 3
Press the caliper pistons back into the cylinders. Install the brake pads. Lubricate the exterior of the pads using anti-squeal. Install the shims. Install the M-Springs. Reinstall the caliper. Using a torque wrench torque the bolt to 36 to 39-ft. lbs. Install the cap.
Step 4
Reinstall the wheels. Add brake fluid to the master cylinder. Bleed the brakes. Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery. Start the engine and pump the brakes 3 to 4 times to seat the brake pads. Test drive the Mazda 6 at slow to moderate speeds to ensure that the maintenance was performed correctly.I hope this helps you and please have a merry xmas
2009 mazda6 has no spare wheel
go to your local wrecker and get them to match some thing up as it doesn't have to come of a Mazda (most early Mazda only had 4 stud rims)
other option is to go to a Tyre retailer and get a cheep mag wheel and a cheep Tyre fitted if it is only a spare it dosn't have to look good
2006 mazda 6 bucking when accelerating
Hi you need to have a diagnosis on why the engine light was on in the first place. By disconnecting the power source to the onboard computers on connection they have probably come up with a mismatch due to something being outside it's set tolerance. The reason it stops when clutch is depressed is you are removing the load from the engine. A fault code reader needs to be plugged into your vehicle, hopefully the codes will still be there as sometimes they might be removed when power is disconnected. Good luck
Code 2187
Possible causes Intake air leaks Faulty front heated oxygen sensor Ignition misfiring Faulty fuel injectors Incorrect fuel pressure Lack of fuel Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection

2013 mazda 6 manual transmission problem from 1st to 2nd gear
Could be a worn synchromesh on the second gear.
Maybe if you practice double de-clutching it will delay the necessary strip-down. The other technique is to monitor the revs during change up to see what the optimum engine speed is for a good silent gear change
