2009 Infiniti QX56 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Where is the fuel pump
The fuel pump is located behind the driver seat on the 2nd row under that seat. You have to cut a piece of the carpet out to get to it. Why I have no idea why Nissan built a vehicle where you have to cut the rug out to get to a part that will need to be replaced one day.
I changed the battery on my QX56. The car is turning over but won't start. What should I do?
Was the car starting before you changed the battery..?
Check your battery leads particularly the black earth where it attaches to the engine block/bodywork.
There's many causes of non-starting, and no one on Fixya would be able to give you a definite answer.
Non starting can be caused by electrical sensor failures. The best - and cheapest - option is to ask a mobile mechanic to do a diagnostic check for you and identify the problem.
Non starting can also be caused by a faulty fuel pump.

Your PATS key may have to be reprogrammed to the car. PATS(Passive Anti-Theft System). Some key and lock shops may have the scan tool to do it, otherwise a trip to the stealership.

The VOC Slip and brake
Hey thereWhat kind of car do you have and what year is it. Depending what model it is, It could be low brake fluid or need a pressure switch or need the VDC repgroammed. Let m eknow
How do you remove the
- Well it's pretty simple. The thing to think about is if you go to sell your vehicle again you may want to re-install the roof rack as many people want the roof-rack on.
- There are a total of twelve bolts on the roof.
- Remove them bolts to remove the rack. I know it sounds to simple but that is how you get the rack off.
- Remove them bolts.
- Only half of the holes have bungs for some reason.
- The other half are just empty holes.
- Now the rack is off and this is where the decision on how permanent you want this to be is.
- I really recommend getting some rubber grommets and inserting them in the holes and then topping that with some silicone.
- Then you can take a paint pen and pain over the silicone and the bungs.
- It looks pretty good this way.
- Some people take 6mm screws and use lock tight. The add some screw head covers on top of them. Then paint over that. This is very permanent.
- There is no way to get the bungs out of there without some professional body work.
- Overall many people do this and it looks great but like I said I highly suggest leaving the option to switch it back should you need to use the rack again or sell the vehicle as a whole. That's your decision though.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

2007 infinity qx56 lift gate
Hello
The 1st thing you should do here is clean and lubricate all the parts, this includes the door edge rubber seals and the lock and latch assembly, this easies the amount of force needed to latch the door and many time cures the problem. To lube the rubber hatch seals get a can of Silicone spray from any auto parts store or hardware store, using a rag soaked with the silicone (shake it before use) clean and generously lubricate the rubber seals around the edge of the hatch. To lube the latch itself get a scan of spray Lithium grease, it is a white grease designed for lubricating these types of mechanisms, if the latch is full of dirt and grim clean it first with a product called Brake Clean, it dries very fast and will remove the old grease and dirt, after it is clean re-apply the spray Lithium grease to the latch mechanism. CAUTION! Do not get these products on the paint or plastic trim of the interior, it can discolor it, tile trim with masking tape or a rag while you apply it..
There is no problem only
A code P0430 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
- The catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly
- An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
- There is an exhaust leak
If the Ox sensor has never been replaced I would do that.. Its a lot cheaper than the CAT. The one that needs to be replaced is AFTER the Catalytic Converter.
A good shop should be able to tell if this is your issue or not though.
The problem on my 05
The answer for fuse should be printed in raised letters on inside of fuse box lid, and in you cars manual.
I have my bluetooth paired
By this statement I assume you mean your phone is connecting to your car audio system via Bluetooth. If this was a one time event I would say that it could be your network. Again, I assume that this is not just a single occurrence. Try connecting a friends phone to see if the problem persists. If not then it is likely your phone and you can try to get a replacement from your carrier. If you still have the problem with a second phone it is likely the audio system. Check your warranty and seek maintenance from the manufacture.
The ignition in my Inifitini
Wiggle the steering wheel while trying to turn the key.Try shaking the steering wheel while using the manual key. The steering wheel ultimately unlocks and the car started.Try hitting the steer wheel hard, with a rubber mallet on its center.Take care nothing gets cracked.

INFINItI Intelligent Key
tM
This system allows you to lock and unlock your vehicle, open the
power lift gate, and start and stop the engine without having to remove
the Intelligent Key from your pocket or bag. Two Intelligent Keys are
provided with your INFINITI vehicle.
Ignition Switch
To Start the Engine:
With the Intelligent Key on "your person" or within
the vehicle:
1 Apply the parking brake.
2 Move the shift selector to P (PARK) or N (NEUTRAL).
P (Park is recommended).
3 Push in the ignition switch and crank the engine with
your foot off the accelerator pedal by turning the
ignition switch to the START position. Release the
ignition switch when the engine has started.
To Stop the Engine:
1 Put the transmission in P (PARK).
2 Turn it to the LOCK (OFF) position. The ignition lock is designed so that the ignition
switch cannot be turned to LOCK (OFF) unless the transmission is in P (PARK).

Also its possible that key fob needs reprogramming or your present key is not getting detected.if you have any other key, then try with that spare key.

The jeep can not start.
Battery is weak/dead or bad battery connections. Turn headlights on and turn key. If lights go out or go very dim, that is your problem.
What does a triangle with
TPMS-Tire pressure monitor sensor. low tire or bad sensor. if your tires are more than 3-5 pounds under pressure, this will trigger the light. Check your driver door for proper tire pressure, air the tires up and drive for 15 mins. If light doesnt go out, check the owners manual for reset procedure.

I found I have code
A P0335 "check engine light" code could be caused by:
- Damaged CKP sensor connector
- Damaged reluctor ring (missing teeth or not turning due to sheared-off keyway)
- Sensor output open
- Sensor output shorted to ground
- Sensor output shorted to voltage
- Failed crank sensor
- Broken timing belt
- Failed PCM
- Using a scan tool, check if, when engine is running or cranking, that there is an RPM signal.
- If there is no RPM reading, then visually inspect the crank sensor and connector for any damage and repair as necessary. If there is no visible damage, and you have access to a scope, you could check the CKP 5 Volt square wave pattern. If you do not, then, obtain a resistance reading of your crank sensor from a repair manual. (There are so many different types of crank sensors that there's no way to put here which resistance reading is correct). Then check the resistance of the CKP sensor by disconnecting the sensor and measuring resistance of the sensor. (It is best to check resistance readings from the PCM connector. This rules out any wiring problems from the start. But it does require some mechanical skill and shouldn't be performed if you\'re not familiar with automobile electrical systems). Is the sensor within resistance specs?
- If not, replace the CKP sensor. If so, recheck resistance reading from the PCM connector. Is the reading still okay?
- If not, repair open or short in the wiring to the crank sensor and re-check. If the reading is okay, the problem is intermittent or the PCM may be at fault. Try reconnecting and checking for RPM signal again. If there is now an RPM signal, wiggle test the wiring harness to try and induce the fault.
please check this maybe
