What are the symptoms of a faulty stop lamp switch?

Can be a short in the wiring harness ,Wires usually all have plastic coverings to prevent chaffing among the metal of the body and usually become dry rotted and fall off over the years , you have to have someone find the short with a continuity tester to pinpoint where the short is ! They can be small and hard to see , you can easily replace the pigtail that goes to the lamp for a few dollars and see if it is just the contacts that are causing the light to go out other then that it would have to be traced all the way back to the fuse panel ! Hope I was able to give you a few ideas to help you out, Sincerely Glenn..P.S. If all else fails their are automotive specialists that deal with wiring issues that can pinpoint it for you! Good luck!

My car makes loud screeching noise when starting.

could be your serpentine belt. usually when they get worn they will start to either slip or cause a very high pitched screeching noise. to verify that is the cause get some water or brake clean in a spray bottle and spray it on to the belt while the vehicle is running. if the noise goes away for a moment you found your cause. if not then its something else. Hope this helps

Ac works on Passenger side but blows Hot air Driver side

Your problem is that your vent is opening only on one side . If you have cable controls you might have a broken cable if your vent changes by vacuum control then the vacuum module is broken . But on most of the newer cars they have and electrical control and they will fail, if you hear popping sound then your vent is not working. You will need to pull the glove box out and the control boxes should be looking you in the face. There should about three of them find the one that's not working by changing your dash settings and watching which one is not working . The only other thing that I can think of is your tubing from your control box is off or has a hole in it and not letting the air mass flow to your side of the car. I hope this helps . Good luck and let me know what happens ..

Repack wheel bearings

Sounds like the brakes are binding on that particular wheel. To test for a wheel brg fault. Raise the vehicle when the wheel is cool turn the wheel direction of rotation as fast as you can and hold the shock and feel for a grinding noise. If it is felt then its your wheel brg thats packing up.
