The door locks are controlled through the vehicles body control module is my understanding, so what needs to be done is to have the BCM scanned and an active test run to see what comes back on faults.

Hi Kerstin I can tell you what these parts do and you have to re-open the panel and find out yourself where they fit. these parts are to take the light from the bulb and distribute it inside the panel, so basically the circle in the middle of the part goes on top of the panel bulb. from here you can find your way. this is called the axillary heating system option (got that?) and is a totally different system from front, (standalone) they run hot water to the rear of car. an amazing feat. via the A-pillar left. The AC compressor relay may be stuck on and defective. Find the AC relay and swap it with another relay-others in your car may be same relay-same part number on it, and same number of relay terminals.
