Glad you figured it out, and to get your car out of park with the safety switch engaged, there is a slot right above the shifter, sometimes covered by a plastic part. If you take a small screwdriver or long key and stick it in there and push down it will disengage the lock on the shifter for towing. :)
A blower motor resistor regulates the AC and heating system for your car by controlling the blower motor. Without a blower motor resistor in the car the ventilation system will not blow well or not at all. Fixing the blower motor resistor should help fix the climate control mechanism. This is located behind the glove box near the cabin air-filter. If you want to do this yourself, there are how-tos on youtube such as this one here.
DTC P0756: Shift Solenoid Valve B Stuck OFF Try changing your fluid if it's under warranty take to the dealer for repair. Usually this means the trasmission is going bad
