I h an 09 hummer h3, when I'm driving and make a turn the tires fill like they lock up and it's hard to make the turn. I checked my power steering re savour and it is full and there is no leak

Regarding the hard-to-turn feeling with a H3 Hummer. I had the same problem with one of my Hummers. The remedy was quick and simple, but the actual fix was more involved. The remedy was to push the 2x4 button (take it out out of 4 wheel drive). The 4x4 button is very easy to touch and engage when reaching the right side of the dash (for any reason). If the engage light is burned out, there is no way to know that the vehicle is in high range 4x4, except while turning right or left, or when you notice that the 2 x4 light is not lit. The fix is to replace the switch, which is somewhat costly and labor intensive.

I have a 2006 Hummer.

There is a solenoid on your transfer case that is used to shift from 2WD to 4WD. It may have frozen or is just stuck. If you know what to look for, get underneath the vehicle, find the transfer case and locate the shift cylinder. There is an electrical connection on the shift cylinder. Ensure that it is plugged in.

My rear view mirror camera quit working I checked the fuse it's good the backup lights work.Help

Circuit/System Description When the transmission is placed into REVERSE, a 12 volt signal is sent to the rearview camera image display module indicating that camera operation is requested. The rearview camera image display module then supplies ignition voltage and ground to the rear vision camera. The rear vision camera sends video information through the rearview camera image display module to the inside rearview mirror through a video signal + and a video signal - circuit. A grounded shielding also wraps the video signal circuits to reduce electronic interference which may degrade the video signal and cause a distorted or otherwise degraded image. Rearview Camera Image Display Module (UVC) In the instrument panel behind the driver side knee bolster to the right of the steering column Do you know how to do electrical testing ? Rear Vision Camera System Does Not Display Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the rear view camera image display module. Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuit terminal 3 and ground. ? If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 2 and ground. ? If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. Ignition ON, park brake applied, vehicle in REVERSE, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the control circuit terminal 1 and ground. ? If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. Ignition OFF, connect the harness connector at the rear view camera image display module. Disconnect the harness connector at the rearview camera. Ignition OFF, test for less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuit terminal B and ground. ? If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear view camera image display module. Ignition ON, park brake applied, vehicle in REVERSE, test for 5.8-6.2 volts between the 6-volt reference circuit terminal A and ground. ? If less than the specified range, test the 6-volt reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear view camera image display module. ? If greater than the specified range, test the 6-volt reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear view camera image display module. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the rear view camera image display module. Test for less then 1 ohm between the shield ground circuit terminal 10 at the rear vision camera display module harness connector and terminal D at the rear vision camera harness connector. ? If greater than the specified range, test the shield ground circuit for an open/high resistance. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the signal circuit terminal 9 and ground. ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal 9 and ground. ? If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. Test for less then 1 ohm between the signal circuit terminal 9 at the rear vision camera display module harness connector and terminal C at the rear vision camera harness connector. ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the inside rearview mirror. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the following signal circuits at the inside rearview mirror harness connector and ground: • Video + signal circuit terminal 6 • Video - signal circuit terminal 7 Test for infinite resistance between the following signal circuits at the inside rearview mirror harness connector and ground: ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. • Video + signal circuit terminal 6 • Video - signal circuit terminal 7 ? If greater than the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. Test for less then 1 ohm between the following signal circuits: • Signal circuit terminal 12 at the rearview camera image module and terminal 6 at the inside rearview mirror. • Signal circuit terminal 11 at the rearview camera image module and terminal 7 at the inside rearview mirror. ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the rear vision camera. Ignition ON, park brake applied, vehicle in REVERSE, verify a clear rear vision image is displayed on the radio. ? If a clear rear vision image is not displayed, test or replace the inside rearview mirror

H3 2008 - radio stays on after shut off and key out?

Hi J, I think your problem must be related to the electrical supply to your system. It sounds as if you have constant power which means the connection has been made to the incorrect terminal. Trace the cable which feeds the set with power and connect it to the correct output from the ignition switch. Keep in mind the set needs one constant power which is for the internal memory and the other is controlled by the ignition switch. I suspect they have been connected together. Regards John

Hummer radio wont work

If you have swapped out your old factory radio with another factory radio from a different unit, it will not work. It is coded to the VIN#, Just to replace a radio at the dealer you must link up and download the current configuration from the old unit using the GM TECH-II, then remove the old unit and install the new one, upload the old config files to the new unit and hope it works. Sometimes it doesn't and you have to keep swapping units back and forth to download and upload and eventually maybe getting a successful upload. If all your doing is replacing the factory unit with another factory unit, it will work if you take it to a dealer and they do the process explained above. Just don't throw out your old radio, they will need it because all of your old config files are still in it!I hope this info helps!~subyguru~

P0449 Evap Vent Solenoid Control Circuit andheater/fan not working/Checkengine light is on

The usual problem is the vent solenoid. The only thing is the best way to check it is with a scan tool. The vent solenoid is located in the rear area just in front of the rear axle.By the canister. There will be a line going from the canister to the fuel tank.Replacing will not make the light go out right of way but if this is the problem it will go out once the PCM performs a couple of run cycles and passes the test.Other wise the only way to clear the code is a scan tool.As far as the blower motor. If it does not work at all.You need to go on the passengers side and If there is and insulator panel then remove it so you can see the blower motor.Take a screw driver and tap on the motor with the handle part of the screw driver. If it starts to run then replace it.It might keep working for a while but it will eventually go out again. If it works on some speeds then you might have a bad blower resistor module.Hope this helps.Good luck.
