Power seat wont move backward in 2009 Hummer H2

first check to see if anything is blocking the tracks if so remove. next it could be the switch if passenger side has controls try swapping them if passenger side does not have controls take switch off and check the resistance in the switch when in the on position (forward or back) if it is not the switch motor is probably burned out if passenger side again has motor try swapping. (passengers don't need to be comfortable) or just buy a new motor. hope this helps

My 2009 Hummer SUT's easy exit seat recall doesn't work properly. The seat will go back but will not lower, recline, or do any other memory function. The chime will only chime once instead of twice w

I have read that there may be an issue with the seat motor control unit. Check with your dealer on a recall or tech bulletin. It may need to be reprogrammed to work properly. Although this is for a 2004 it may carry over to the 2009 model: Document ID# 1694588 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe - 4WD -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Memory Seat May Not Return to Requested Position (Reprogram Driver Seat Module) #04-08-50-016C - (08/12/2005) Models: 2003-2005 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT 2003-2005 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe 2003-2005 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali All with Seat FRT, Individual (Non BKT) (RPO AN3) 2003-2005 HUMMER H2 with Seat, Front Bucket Deluxe (RPO AR9) This bulletin is being revised to update the correction information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 04-08-50-016B (Section 08 -- Body and Accessories). Condition: Some customers may comment that with repeated cycling of the memory seat between the 'exit' and one of the 'presets', the position of the seat may "creep" forward or rearward out of expected adjustment. Cause: There is a coding deficiency in the software for the memory seat module. Correction: Technicians are to reprogram the driver seat module with an updated software calibration. The previous bulletin stated to use a service calibration that was released with TIS satellite data update version 4.5. Feedback has proved that calibration to be ineffective in eliminating the memory seat creep condition. An updated service calibration was released with TIS satellite data update version 6.5 available June 13, 2005. This new calibration has additional memory seat creep protection. As always, make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version. Important: After programming is complete, move the seat all the way rearward and down, then bump the seat slightly forward and up. This position will be just off the end of travel hard stops. Reset both memory seat exit positions at this position. Having the seat set at just off the hard stops will aid in reducing the creep condition. The steering on my h2 has gone very stiff on right hand turns but is normal on left hand turns would this be a problem with the Saginaw power steering box or the pump

as the pump just supplies pressure the fault would be in both directions--so eliminate the pump It could be the valve body in the steering box or failing hoses from the box I suggest that a diagnosis by an accredited steering specialist may save lots of money

My 2009 H2 is idling

My guess would be a leaking intake or head gasket. Water in the cylinder(s) is shorting the spark plug until the temp comes up on the engine. The white smoke is the coolant being burnt off. check your coolant level it may be low.

Hummer H2 4wd service light comes on when I start the H2

If the 4WD service light comes on when you start your Hummer H2, it could indicate a problem with the four-wheel drive system. This warning light could indicate a problem with the transfer case, the drive shaft, the front or rear differential, or other components of the 4WD system. It is recommended to take your vehicle to a certified mechanic or a Hummer dealership for proper diagnosis and repair. The service light coming on could be a sign of a serious problem, and it is important to address it promptly to avoid further damage to your vehicle and ensure safe operation.

Hummer air condiTioner blows hoT

There are some possibilities that you will have to get checked. Possible causes.....
1. HVAC Control Module needs recalibration.
2. Control Head needs replacing.
3. Refrigerant System leak.
4) The blower door actuator. the blower door actuator. The HVAC system under the passengers dash, to access it remove the cover below the glove compartment, 2 screws. The drivers blower door actuator motor is closest to the transmission tunnel and is held in place with 2 screws. The Passenger blower door actuator is directly above it on the TOP of the housing. Remove the glove compartment and you can get to it on the top of the HVAC system. Reach up and unplug it and plug it back in first. if it does not correct it you will need to replace it. It is not an easy job since most of the dash must be removed. Start by removing all the decorative allen bolts accross the dash. The center section can be pulled forward an inch or so. This will allow you to remove the trim around the speedometer cluster and drivers a/c vent. The passengers side is a little tricky. You need to remove the side panel that rests up against the door panel. Shine a light in at the upper left corner and you will see a white button aprox 1/8" wide and 1/2" tall this needs to be pushed in with a flat blad screwdriver while gently pulling out on the passenger grab bar(above the airbag). The second white button can be reached throught the far left glove compartment opening. I reached up and pushed in on the white button on this side while pulling out on the handle. This will allow the handle to be removed and the trim peices following. You can now see the screws that hold the upper dash cover there are aprox 3 screws on the driver and passenger side. You also have 2 in the center behind the center trim piece pull forward an inch or so and a 1/4" drive socket will get to the screws here. It then just pulls straight forward NOT UP. and don't forget to unplug the sun sensor on the dash.
Remove the clip holding the duct work you will now see is connected to the backside of the dash passengers side. You can secure it from the outside when reassembling. The acctuator can be seen and replaced. It is still tight but I did not have to take it to the dealer. You have 3 actuators on the H2 that is Drivers side, Passenges side, and recirculate. I would suggest whil you are under the dash remove the blower motor (3 screws and clean out the fan shoot some compressed air in to get any other dust out.). if in your ac system you are using dual control system then, The heater control valve has failed and is open allowing the passenger side heater core to stay hot. It is a very common problem and expensive to repair. It tends to be an intermittent problem and sometimes will work properly. The heater control valve needs to be checked. Dual Climate Control Valve (DCCV) is failed.
If the heater valve is checked ok then the other possibilities which can make this problem occur are.
the blend door and the blend door actuator.Either the blend door is got craked or getting blocked or the actuator is got broken.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
