The fuel tank sending unit in the gas tank is wired to the PCM - engine computer , The PCM sends fuel level info to the gauge in the instrument cluster on this serial data network . Your best bet ,take an have the vehicle checked out by a qualified repair shop . The power door lock system consists of the following components: • Driver Door Module (DDM) • Passenger Door Module (PDM) • Liftgate Module (LGM) • Door lock relay • Door unlock relay • Body Control Module (BCM) • Reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors • LR/RR LOCKS 10A fuse (relay supply voltage) • Door lock switches in driver and passenger doors (switches are integral components to the DDM and PDM) Power Door Lock Operation The power door lock switches are integral components of the DDM and PDM. The switches are two position normally open rocker switches. When placed in either the lock or unlock positions, the switches provide a direct input to the DDM or PDM. The DDM or PDM monitors these inputs and sends a Class 2 message indicating a change in the switch's respective position. Modules which activate the power door lock motors receive the Class 2 message and activate the motor in the appropriate direction to lock or unlock the vehicle's doors and liftgate. The modules which activate the power lock motors are: • DDM (driver door lock actuator). • PDM (passenger front door lock actuator). • BCM (both rear door lock actuators). • LGM (liftgate door lock actuator). The DDM, PDM and LGM are directly connected to the respective door lock actuator through the door lock motor lock and unlock circuits. Once a door lock or unlock request has been received, the module will supply battery voltage to one side of the actuator and ground the other causing the doors to lock or unlock. The modules probably have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored , these would point a auto tech in a positive diagnostic direction .

Power Mode Description and Operation Serial Data Power Mode On vehicles that have several control modules connected by serial data circuits, one module is the power mode master (PMM). The fail-safe plan covers modules with discrete ignition signal inputs as well as those modules using exclusively serial data control of power mode. Serial Data Messages The modules that depend exclusively on serial data messages for power modes stay in the state dictated by the last valid BCM message until they receive the engine status from the powertrain control module (PCM). If the BCM fails, the modules monitor the serial data circuit for the engine run flag serial data. If the engine run flag serial data is true, indicating that the engine is running, the modules fail-safe to Run. In this state the modules and their subsystems can support all operator requirements. If the engine run flag serial data is false, indicating that the engine is not running, the modules fail-safe to OFF-AWAKE. In this state the modules are constantly checking for a change status message on the serial data circuits and can respond to both local inputs and serial data inputs from other modules on the vehicle. Discrete Ignition Signals Those modules that have discrete ignition signal inputs also remain in the state dictated by the last valid BCM message received on the serial data circuits. They then check the state of their discrete ignition input to determine the current valid state. If the discrete ignition input is active, B+, the modules will fail-safe to the RUN power mode. If the discrete ignition input is not active, open or 0 voltage, the modules will fail-safe to OFF-AWAKE. In this state the modules are constantly checking for a change status message on the serial data circuits and can respond to both local inputs and serial data inputs from other modules on the vehicle. You would need a scan tool that can read data from the BCM . What may be the problem is a lose connector , these pin's at connectors are tiny and doesn't take much for one to become lose.

Check your control arm bushing. Just had a similar issue with me 1999 Jimmy. Bushing were out.

If you are sure that you "have" XM already setup (so that your radio will receive it), then it's as simple as pressing the button once for AM, again for FM, then once again gives you XM. (Or that's how it works in a Buick Lucerne SUPER (2008). Hope it helps! Cheers...

go get it checked at autozone. what is the car doing. I dont know how to diagnose engine light just went on. those cars are known for engine lights. in higher mileage it is usually o2 sensor.

Take it to someone with a code reader and see what code is in the computer. Most parts stores can do it. Lee
