Probably a failed spark plug or injector.
The flashing light means the problem is serious enough to cause damage to the catalytic converter.
You can have the engine computer scanned for trouble codes and find out what needs to be checked out. The codes will not tell you what components to replace.
CD loading mechanism fault. Contact any service technician. You have to take out the CD mechanism from the vehicle, to repair it. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Sorry, but I'm having some trouble parsing your grammar. If I understand correctly, the radio and power windows work even when the key is off, but the starter doesn't do anything. If you are also unable to shift into R or D, I would suspect the ignition lock has broken with the ignition switch in the accessory position.
I'm not for sure how the escapes remote works, but if you have a users manual it should tell you. I haven't had any problems with mine, but it sounds like your's might need to be reset? I have a buick century that a similar problem has happened with. If you don't have a manual try going down to the local ford dealer and asking about one. Hope this helps in any way it can. :)
Do you know about communication networks or serial data communications on vehicles , these let the scan tool communicate with the different modules on the vehicle ! Newer vehicles have several, PCM - powertrain control module , Anti-theft module , Air bags , antilock brakes , Body control module or in the case of ford a smart junction box . an some others !
Communications Network
Vehicle communication utilizes both International Standards Organization (ISO) 9141 and controller area network (CAN) communications. ISO 9141 is used for diagnostic use only, and CAN is used for many modules to communicate with each other on a common network. CAN in-vehicle networking, is a method for transferring data among distributed electronic modules via a serial data bus. Without serial networking, intermodule communication requires dedicated, point to point wiring resulting in bulky, expensive, complex, and difficult to install wiring harnesses. Applying a serial data network reduces the number of wires combining the signals on a single network. Information is sent to the individual control modules that control each function.
The vehicle has 3 module communication networks:
ISO 9141
Medium speed (MS) CAN
High speed (HS) CAN
All 3 networks are connected to the data link connector (DLC). This makes diagnosis and testing of these systems easier by allowing one scan tool to be able to diagnose and control any module on the 3 networks from one connector. The DLC can be found under the instrument panel between the steering column and the audio unit.
HS-CAN Network Operation
The HS-CAN network communicates using bussed messages. The HS-CAN network uses an unshielded twisted pair cable, data bus (+) and data bus (-) circuits. In addition to scan tool communication, this network allows sharing of information between all modules on the network.
The HS-CAN is a high speed communication network used for the following modules:
ABS module
4WD control module (if equipped)
Instrument cluster
PCM
MS-CAN Network Operation
The MS-CAN network communicates using bussed messages. The MS-CAN has an unshielded twisted pair cable, data bus (+) and data bus (-) circuits. In addition to scan tool communication, this network allows sharing of information between all modules on the network.
The MS-CAN is a medium speed communication network used for the following modules:
Instrument cluster
SJB
HS-CAN Network
What type of scan tool are you using ? or are you using a code reader ?
Pop the Hatchback open and remove the connectors
from the top of the bumper cover.
Optional Step: Using a Floor Jack, raise both sides
of the car in the back, supporting both sides with
jack stands, and remove the rear wheels.
Using Torx Bits, remove the inner rear wheel well
lining.
Get behind the rear wheel well and loosen the bolts
holding the bumper brackets on. They're pretty
difficult to find and remove. Be Patient. Do the
same to the other side.
Remove the rear bumper cover by pulling the cover
outward from the part nearest the wheel on both
sides. Once removed, take off the 2 black mounting
brackets from the bumper cover.
Good Luck
Not sure what broke but if you take your door panel off you will be able to see what broke and repair it yourself. Pretty simple mechanism and it will not cost you 500 to fix it yourself. A parts store will steer you in the right direction and sell you the parts. Should not be over 150 dollars to fix.
