Remove cluster and take to speedo shop they can check and repair it .

There is a shift motor on the unit that uses an electric heater coil to cause liquid to expand and shift it in and out. The motor is bad.

get the car serviced.guessing parts is futile and very very expensive.1: check (test) all fuses.2: scan the PCM , see all DTC codes, write them down.a scan tool is mandatory on all newer cars. sorry, it is.and this car is complex. nothing trival on this car.Ill bet you the TCM is ok. they almost never fail.3: check for loose or road damaged connectors near all transmission parts. under car. damage can be hits. or corrosion.get it serviced. or read the FSM after scanning it .the FSM lists all tests to do for each DTC.not having the FSM , you will fail.at the least alldata.com . log in , read diagnostic page..see>?

find out from autozone what p 2033 is and address the problem that way...it is throwing the code for a reason....the part is bad and needs replaced....if you reset the scan and it comes back...replace the part...autozone is great to help you with this and they will even show you how to do it yourself and where it is on your truck...try them they are great help...good luck...

Make sure your tranny cooler Isnt pluged and there are no kinks in the lines to the cooler and back.

Get the part you need at a Salvage Yard

There is something else loose check sway bar joints front and back, Muffler/exhaust brackets,and gas tank brackets..

has the front suspension been checked? binding? seized ball joint?

It would be easier if u could shove a screw driver in and try to push the latch open, but if u need to breaking the handle works.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------elm 327 bluetooth

remove any snap in covers
remove retaining screws
panel will then lift straight up
snap in cover around door release (open) handel
power windows etc.etc.
retaining screws aroun handel (under plastic snap trim)
around lower section etc. etc.

hook up a obd 2 diagnostic code retrieving tool to the aldl connection , under the instrument panel on the left side, this will give you the trouble code, or codes that the computer has picked up, then , you can go to that area of the problem in order to check it out, and to fix it, hope that this information has helped you.

the locks are cycling because it thinks it is going into park there is a problem with the park nuetral switch it is on the side of transmission where shifter hooks on make sure wiring is not rubbing and cut into harness

Bumper Replacement - Front (Old Style)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front grille.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamps, if equipped.

3. Remove the retaining bolts (1,2) from the front bumper.

4. Remove the brace bolt (3) from the front bumper.

5. Remove the front bumper assembly from the vehicle.

6. Remove the air deflector from the bumper if necessary.

7. Remove the fog lamps, if equipped.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the fog lamps, if equipped.

2. Install the air deflector to the bumper if necessary.

3. Position the front bumper assembly on the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Important: Tighten the bolts in the following sequence.

4. Install the retaining bolts (1,2) to the front bumper.

1. Tighten the bracket bolt (1) to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).

2. Tighten the bracket bolt (2) to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).

3. Tighten the brace bolt to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

5. Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamps, if equipped.

6. . Install the front grille.

Check it with an oms tester to see if you have continuity with the ground. If not it is a ground problem. You can run a new ground to a bolt on the frame.

Does it happen after awhile or right away? If after awhile, it sounds like the transmission is overheating and causing the truck to go into 'limp' mode.
