2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette. When it starts it will run all day long. When you turn it off, if you wait five minutes it won't start. Something shutting down the injectors. I can't figure it out?

'2002 ols seilette' That's the worst spelling of the model I have seen for a long time, it's written on the back of the vehicle. I fixed all the others as well and moved it from the Miscellaneous category to make model category. You need an auto electrician with a $5,000 pro grade scan tool computer to record what happens when you try to restart the car. It is likely to be a failing sensor, or even the ECM itself.

Have you check the air intake/filter? It can be as simple as that. If that is fine it may not be getting fuel or spark.

Where is the shift solenoid on a 2000 Oldsmobile silhouette located??

Inside the transmission . Which shift solenoid ? 1 - 2 , 3 - 4 , 2 - 3 ? The shift solenoid valves are two identical, normally open, electronic exhaust valves that control upshifts and downshifts in all forward gear ranges. These shift solenoid valves work together in a combination of ON and OFF sequences in order to control the positions of the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 shift valve trains. The PCM monitors numerous inputs in order to determine the appropriate solenoid state combination and the transmission gear for the vehicle operating conditions.

2007 chevy tahoe loses power

No messaage of reduced engine power ? Your vehicle has electronic throttle control . Has four position sensors , two are located in the gas pedal ,an two in the throttle body . The PCM uses these sensor to know how much to open the throttle plate ,allowing more air into the engine . How did you read this code an where did you read it's definition at ? This is not a code for your vehicle . Some time cheap code readers get them wrong . Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions: • Acceleration limiting--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the vehicle acceleration is limited. • Limited throttle mode--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the maximum throttle opening is limited. • Throttle default mode--The ECM will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position. • Forced idle mode--The ECM will perform the following actions: - Limit engine speed to idle by positioning the throttle position, or by controlling the fuel and spark if the throttle is turned off. - Ignore the accelerator pedal input. • Engine shutdown mode--The ECM will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator. 017 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensors Drive by Wire Function and diagnostics by Wells
