It is under a housing where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine.

If the antitheft system is armed and isn't recognizing the key for starting, the dealer should be the next place it should be towed for reprogramming the key to the computer.

dear friend-i think what your car needs is conditioner to soften the seals and valve body,if this does not work you wil have to remove the valve body and clean.

Remove the fuse.

Push and hold the moonroof switch toward 2 . Once the moonroof has reached the full tilt position, release the switch. Push and hold the switch toward the 2 position again.

Under the ash tray.

The spark plug gap is 0.031" to 0.035" on a 3.0 V6 engine.

see Swirl Control Valve in a lot of threads and Auto Help posts. It is actually called a Solenoid Control Valve (14956-31U01) as Nissan diagrams and parts lists don't have anything with Swirl.

find the short, could be in the switch or a wire itself...and if you have a bulb out it complicates finding it even morenew fuse it, then turn things back on one at a time...should tell u where the problem is

thermostat in a 99 maxima is right above the alternator. just look down and you will see a hose clamp and a hose. that's the thermostat housing. you will remove the whole housing (3 bolts),because that's the whole thermostat.

Check fluid level and scan trans module

often a car at that age may need new spark plug wires if they are still original make sure all the spark plugs are good. if it accellerates ok for the firist 10 seconds or so then losses power it may be just a fuel filter , keep it simple firist

you need the remote control of the alarm to turn the alarm off.

you may need to change the battery of the remote in case it would no longer control the alarm or if you have a valet switch to turn off the alarm, then use it.

the immobilizer is working that is why you can not start the car.

Make sure the power cables are properly connected to the head unit. Especially make sure the negative lead is properly connected to the frame of your car. Another thing to check is the remote wire, make sure that's connected properly to your head unit.

Enter your vehicle from the passenger side and locate the fuel pump shutoff switch near the underside of the glove compartment, on the lower right side. The fuel pump cutoff switch has a small round button.

Every answer here is wrong. This has been driving people nuts for 15 years. The problem is the engine wiring harness which has a bend going past the right strut tower, Nissan had a service bulletin on this in September of 1999, Google it, it's in pdf.
