Sometimes for this light to turn off you will need to reset the computer system that logged the code. Advance Auto and Auto Zone have a free service that will do this for you, they will also be able to tell you if the check engine light has logged a code for some other then the gas cap. Just go into Advance Auto or Auto Zone and say "Could you reset my check engine light for me?" they will grab their scanner tool and ask you to lead them to your vehicle, they will need to turn your car to the ON position but not start it.

improper wiring or shorter relay wiring

it has gone into theft mode. you will need to have the system rest. it makes it so the parts are useless. when you take the battery off for any reason you need to have the key in the ignition on number 2 then off to 0. leave key in and you now have 30 seconds to take of the battery. just taking off the battery with out doing this can activate the systerm.

you cannot disable the immobiliser. it is a system mercedes has put into to prevent theft. however, you can bypass the immobiliser (otherwise known as EIS, Electronic Ignition Switch) in order to switch ON the car, but you wont be able to start it. what you need to do it remove the connector from the back of the EIS module and bridge terminals 15r and terminal 30. i recommend getting a wiring diagram specific to your car to be sure of the terminals. however, do this at your own risk.

You need a skilled auto-electrician, not a mechanic, one that has a high end scan tool computer that can analyze the stored and live data, plus reading any DTC Codes. To me, it sound like you have a failing battery, possibly erratic charging and some bad grounds. The electronics on Mercedes are overly complex.

Should be a screw on top of the pump - upper right side.It should fit a hex/allen/key size 5.Oil level should be between min and max.After filling, tighten screw with 8NM torqueIf you look down through the "brush", you'll see the screw.The screw on top of the pump is for the refill, the one on the side is to releave the preasure when you open the top manualy. There is a refill line on the side as well.
