Door ajar warning will not turn off
Inside of the door will you will see a small button switch. This switch is what the computer uses to tell if there is an open door and turn on the interior lights. It should be located near the front of the door will and about half way up in the door jam. If you can see which switch is sticking they are simple to remove and replace. They will have a hex shaped bottum that resembles a bolt. Simply turn the old switch out and replace it with a new one readily available at most autopart stores and car dealerships (that have a parts department). You should never attempt to clean or oil any electrical component of a vehicle as this may chase the part to short out and pose a fire hazard. As always if you are unsure of what you are looking for (door jam light switch) please consult a professional. Happy motoring.

How to remove the dashboard on a 1999 lincoln continental
There are going to be tons of small hex-head screws holding plastic panels on. Take them all out. If you get stuck, tug on the panel and see about where its still holding on. Chances are there is a screw that you didnt see before. Dashboards suck to work on so be prepared to be very frusterated

Antilock brakes are being activated when I push on the brakes lightly about 5sec of applying them they start to activate any ideas?? thankyou..Bill
Considering the age of the vehicle it is possible corrosion has eroded the reluctor rings, especially at the front, and increased the air gap so the speed sensor output has fallen to low levels and at lower speeds drops to zero so the brain assumes that wheel has locked even though it is still turning.
A visual inspection of the rings will immediately give an indication of whether this is possibly the cause. The rings should have well defined teeth and the gap between the sensor and the teeth should be small - in the region of 1mm or less.
The output of each sensor can be checked by jacking up and turning the wheel by hand after connecting a sensitive voltmeter or oscilloscope (if required).
If there had been a circuit interruption; such as faulty wiring or sensors the abs light on the dash should be on and in that case a code read would be the quickest way to a diagnosis.
